That will only happen IF things go really bad. Seth's Air Raid version includes a heavy running game and I don't expect that to change.

I believe those "original reports" weren't from the team but fans trying to compare his injury to others. Hopefully there's been no complications and this is just part of the process.

These were made near the end of RV's tenure when we thought baseball was getting close. Then we ran into the financial issues which caused this to be shelved. Then McCarney imploded, RV was fired, and after a reassessment we decided to put our resources into our current sports before starting up baseball again. The new overall plan calls for the stadium to be in a different spot so when it does eventually happen it most likely won't look anything like these pictures. The good news is RV won't be around to force the fans and batters to battle the setting sun.

I have no doubt it will pass. What I do worry about is the opposition coming up with another excuse to redo the vote. Their plan seems to be if they cannot stop it then delay it as long as possible.

No idea. There could be someone not on the roster right now who comes in and wins the job. Hopefully someone takes command of the job by the first game.

The problem is once a kicker loses confidence it can be difficult to regain it. I welcome the kid to the team and wish him the best but I'm not assuming he's gonna win the job.

I wouldn't call this "breaking news". There's no guarantee he wins the kicking job here.

Good. I like this guy's tape but the competition level is hard to compare. I don't know if he's quick enough to be a tackle at this level.

Sounds like it should be a no brainer to choose us if we're offering a scholly and not making him wait till the summer.

Even if it miraculously worked it would still have been a bad decision. I know he had tremendous success at the high school level but I watched him for two seasons and saw lost of dumb decisions that put our team in bad situations and cost us games. Perhaps "over his head" is a better description? After Todd Dodge, who is my least favorite head coach in UNT's football history? Dennis Parker.

You are wrong about never playing for a time. It's a nice sentiment but not true. The odds of recovering an onside kick ... completing a long pass ... kicking a long field goal ... all in 15 seconds is highly, highly unlikely. The odds of the other team recoverng the onside kick ... gaining at least ten yards ... kicking a long field goal is much, much more likely. Parker put his team in an almost impossible situation to win and gave the other team a terrific opportunity to steal a win. That's poor coaching and dumb decision making.

I'll give him selecting Mitch Maher but winning five more games than Dodge is not something that helps his case at all.
