  1. When I listen to guys talk about how Littrell turned around North Texas I question how much thought they really put into it. As much as Littrell had done on the field, his success would not have been possible without a complete turnaround in the AD office, BOR, and school President. You cannot explain the turnaround these past few years without adding those factors as well.
  2. Obviously you don't care about the environment or the future of the human race. /endjoke
  3. I'm just thankful it's all limited to one thread.
  4. Or he's looking to transfer to North Texas.
  5. The two quotes seem to show the difference in priorities of a head coach and an assistant coach. The head coach seems to be focused on the more important factors.
  6. When Baker needed a head basketball coach he hired one who already had good success as a head coach. Same thing with softball. I think we would see Baker try to get someone who is already a head coach. Would Neal Brown at Troy see UNT as an opportunity? Eric Morris at Incarnate Word was a top assistant who now has success as a head coach. I would first look at people like that. I think KSU and Littrell would be a really good match. If he can average 8 wins with some big wins then he would be a target any top job in college football. That said, I'd much rather keep him here.
  7. They said he wasn't at the top of their list. You never know how these things can turn on a dime. It's always a possibility until it isn't.
  8. Maybe he hurt it dancing the Boot Scootin' Boogie?
  9. There was a previous thread where we talked at length about it. UTA put some high requirements to be met before they would restart the program which I am doubtful they will be able to reach.
  10. Definitely a nose tackle. A big, immovable rock in the middle of the line will be nice.
  11. I just rewatched the highlights and I have the same response: "Love the tape".
  12. The Lane Train is staying home this holiday season as well.
  13. Rivers reminds me a lot of Sturm but more accurate. Not looking forward to playing against him the next few years.
  14. Since winning our first four, we're basically a .500 team since then. This team just hasn't been the same during that time. I'm not super excited about our chances in a bowl game no matter who the opponent it.
  15. SMU lost to Tulsa so they ARE NOT bowl eligible.
  16. UNT alumni and fan who is battling cancer. He was featured in a BTG episode a few weeks ago.
  17. Don't mess the final few minutes.
  18. From the code I can make out "I love North Texas".
  19. Good stuff in that podcast. It's about 30 minutes long and worth the time to listen to it. One surprising note was the order of quarterbacks They believe Jason Bean is the next best quarterback on the roster followed by incoming WIll Kuehne. This would leave Cade Pearson, Kason Martin, and Austin Aune fighting for the third spot. I love Bean's running ability which would add A LOT to the offense but I don't know about his passing game. The guys love the incoming Will Kuehne's throwing ability. Cade Pearson, Kason Martin, and Austin Aune may all be more talented than any quarterback Dan McCarney brought in during his time.
  20. Note: DMN requires a subscription to read. However, if you right click on the link and choose "Open incognito mode" you can view that one article for free.
  21. DMN - Amazon bidding on Fox Regional Sports Networks. There's still lots of bidders for the networks and it's still early in the process. My first thought is getting these networks away from Disney who also owns ABC/ESPN would be a good thing for competition. Would probably lead to increased use of streaming games. From the article:
  22. 1. The two freshmen twin linebackers. Do we expect them to make an impact on the defense next year? 2. Compare the styles of our two running back commits and who you think can make an immediate impact next year.
  23. UTSA fans vehemently disagree with your prediction. They believe UNT will win by a larger margin.
  24. I just realized Demeco Roland's Broken Arrow team beat Will Kuehne's Owasso team. I'm sure that score will NEVER come up when Demeco and Will get to campus. 😉
  25. One last hurrah for Fouts.
