Dan built some great teams at Iowa St (great for Iowa St, that is). I think he knows recruiting ... from the 1990's. His first off season here he went in person to flip Lemon from Texas St and he became on of our best offensive lineman. There is always a way to misinterpret. Think about this from UNT's side. Why would Martin decline an interview that her boss told the reporter to have? As you said, perhaps she was just unavailable before the NT Daily wanted to publish the article. Did the author mention Baker's direction to interview her? Did they go back to Baker to make sure they had access to interview Martin? I'm thinking the reporter wasn't very inspired to speak with Martin as it would only serve to produce fact that would remove the "blockbuster" vibe from the article.

How do we know Stacy Martin actually declined an interview? We already know the NT Daily either lied or are incompetent. Why should we believe them about this?

I think many are not specifically worried about Seth but just the competitiveness of us versus them and who wins. Once we hire a new coach the masses will turn on Seth.

Play calling. I think players love him. I will say that he's only called plays for the three years here so he definitely has room to grow.

The real question is what is KSU thinking? Is Seth their top choice? Is he their only choice they want? Is he simply a choice and they have other people to interview? Are they going to take their time, form a search committee, and interview lots of folks? We don't know. The fact that nothing is being said leads me to think that Seth is going to know one way or the other very soon.
