Its easy to blame the refs when they were so horrible.

The officials blew this game for UNT. Three missed obvious pass interference calls and our guy was out of bounds before he fumbled on the kick off. I recorded the game and replayed to make sure. UNT's defense played awful but the officals were worse. Todd Dodge will really explode when he sees the film.

One HUGE difference. The Dodge era isn't over yet. Dodge may fail and eventually be fired but the book isn't closed yet. There's still the opportunity to turn his record around. From what I saw this past weekend I'm very hopeful.

After a rough first quarter I saw UNT play better than they have in years. The offense ... the defense ... they put it all together for most of the game. Yes, I was pissed when we lost and I threw my headset into the wall. However, I came away excited about the future of this team. Overall we're playing better than at anytime last year and we're playing better than we were in week 1 of this year. If we keep playing this well and correct a few of the mistakes we'll win some games this year and be better next year. Yes, I saw all the mistakes but I saw all the positives as well. Even after the loss I feel better about this this than I have at anytime over the past few years. This is still a very young team with a bright future in my eyes.

You can watch in on meangreensports.com for a monthly or yearly fee. I did this last year. While the quality isn't great and it sometimes lost it altogether. It does cost some money but think of it as a donation to the school.

No excuse for the kid but it appears the kid he punched might also be in a little trouble. In the video above it appears he's trashing talking and his coach is trying to get him to shut up before he's decked. I think the Boise kid deserves some discipline ... such as a couple hundred yards of up-downs or something similar.

I always thought it might be easiest to convert the current concession stands into boxes and build new concessions on the outside of the arena. Just a thought.
