There are some UNT sorehead but I believe in reading the responses on the board that the majority of us SUPPORT UNT: win or loose. I believe the majority of us SUPPORT DD and what he has done to build up and improve UNT athletics. This is just one game.....and can you imagine what the OU football board is going through this week?? I appreciate what RV & DD & JJ has done for our athletic program and you have to remember: 1. UNT is still a mid-major!!...and we may always be a mid-major or until the NCAA revises it BCS process to allow ALL D-1 schools the opportunity to play in a LEGITIMATE bowl championship process like all other championships. 2. A NEW stadium is needed. 3. Always give DD the benefit of the doubt in what he has done......he has recruited well enough to take the team to 4 SBC Championships.....I am not that good in math but that is 3 more than any other NTSC/NTSU/UNT coach has EVER done!!!! 4. You either stand with DD in the good and bad or you don't stand with him at all!!!! 5. We can always second guess his decisions but HE is the coach and has to play the games with the players he has and for the most part they are very good and talented and they all need your support.

Face it we have: 1. 7 or 8 returning starters. 2. 3 QB's with no D-1 playing time. 3. Experienced coach who has won 4 SBC championships. 4. A young and talented team. 5. Cobbs for 100 yards in the Tulsa game was excellent. 6. Excellent punter. 7. Takes guts for DD to say he was outcoached....bet that does not happen a lot. 8. Young and talented depth. 9. You are the same guys that was heaping kudos on the team 3 weeks ago...now what....you loose one OOC game and you forget to take your meds?? 10. This rhetoric happens every year on this board......fire Coach Dickey. 11. DD and RF are BIG assets to the UNT program along with RV. 12. All you guys be sure to take your meds tonight, get a good night sleep, hug your children and pets because Saturday is another day. GMG

My humble thoughts on the game: 1. Got to disagree with the punter.....I believe this was one of the brighter sides of the game. This kid can kick. With the wind he was nailing them. Against the wind....well Tulsa didn't do better. 2. On Phillips at QB the first series he played he didn't get in until the clock was down to 18-19 seconds.....and that happened twice!! not his fault as it was the fault of the coaches. 3. Coach Dickey in his post game interview took the blame on himself for the game. He did not blame anyone but himself. He said the Tulsa coach "out coached him." 4. If it was not for the five turnovers in the MUTS game we would have lost by 25-30 points. 5. Let's face it......... a) This is another OOC loss. Tulsa put some big time whooop a__s on us at Fouts. c) We don't have a mature offensive line, yet, this year making the holes for the RBs d) We don't have a mature defensive line, yet, this year to stop anything! e) We lack experience at QB even though Meager looks promising. f) We still have a chance of another Sun Belt Championship again. 6. Unfortunately DD has to play with the experience he has. Unfortunately DD did not adjust his game plan to correspond with the talent he has. Heck, I thought after the first two series he was coming out passing for this game!! Then for the rest of the game it was DD ball again. 7. The Ramon Flanigan comment: Aw man, that was awful to say the least, "sophmorish." 8. This is the same diatribe that everyone says about DD about all OOC games but, you know, DD has always finds a way to improve during the year. 9. For one, I still have faith in DD and Flanigan. This was just one game and you know the coaching staff learned some lessons. 10. That is all I got to say.

It was not only the slow scanning process of one at a time, i.e. the lack of help, but when I went through they were not allowing alum to carry their padded seats in. Later, fans were entering with the padded seats. Perhaps there was so much disention that R.V. changed that too!! For the next game: 1. Is it the same laborious ticket scanning process of one at a time?? 2. Padded seats or no padded seats?? Something has to be done to move the line faster!!

I think Waters should have moved the New Orlean's Bowl to Denton because: 1. Better tourist attractions in the D-DFW area (Denton-Dallas Fort Worth). 2. Slimmer people....was not Louisiana one of the "fatest states in a recent poll?" 3. A College Bowl game in Denton... 4. Infuse the $$ in Denton instead of Louisana. 5. We could sell out Fouts Field

The best series of plays was the come from behind victory on Coach Matt Simon's last game with QB Jason Mills (his last game, finally) going about 80-90 yards with 1:30 on the clock to win 51-48 on a last second pass, with no time on the clock, into the south end zone.

Since UNT has an abysmal record in OOC games what do you do?? 1. Pass more to keep JT and TC's fresh?? 2. Same game plan of ball control? 3. Give the other QB's a chance to play?? 4. Do some wide open offense similar to MTSU? Personally, I would like to see 50% run & 50% pass!!

STEVE RAMSEY 1. Great drop back passer. 2. Set all sorts of records in 3 years. 3. NTSU got "robbed" in Arkansas in 1969 against #1 Arkansas when Ramsey hit Shanklin in the endzone and the SWC refs said he trapped it. Baloney!! It was as blatent a miscall as the University of Texas game was when the Texas Receiver caught the ball 3-4 yards "out" of the endzone at the end of the game. Even the Texas fans booooooed that call.

This sounds like DD's Philosophy, ball control!! I have not looked at UNT's turnovers during the last 4 years but I would say that they maybe the lowest in the SBC. Perhaps one of you guys who know where to look for all the "stats" can research that for us. This philosophy works in the SBC but we need some "W's" in the OOC category. We definitely have a chance to beat Tulsa and La. Tech this year and perhaps K-State. Our new cornerback from the J.C. ranks sure looked good against MTSU. I was impressed.

To Blue Raider Pride--- Cobbs & Thomas averaged 4 yards per carry. To me that is pretty good!! MTSU had 5 turnovers....................................To me that is pretty bad. UNT had 0 turnovers......................................To me that is pretty good. UNT held MTSU to 155 yards the second half....To me that is good coaching. No matter what the offense and defenses looked like last night the final score will ALWAYS be 14 - 7.

We have the best 2 running backs in the Nation. Even Buford Julip, Harry, Plumgreen, SUMG et. al. could play QB and hand off to Thomas and Cobbs and still win the game. They are 1 deep We are 2 deep They have AC.....who recruits well in the Tennessee area We have DD.......who recruits Very Well in the state of TEXAS!! IF MUTS tears down their goal posts this year it will be because they are fustrated in LOOSING again to UNT!!!
