The Democratic Party ace in the hole will be the passage of a new immigration act to legalize all illegals before the election. Anyone opposed to such an enactment will be called.....well ya'll know. This will be great because the rich will have to pay more taxes, the rich will be classified as making a total household income of less than 200k and Congress will have to find more creative ways to raise taxes on everyone else just to pay the interest on the debt.....not paying down the debt.....just the interest on the debt.

You have conviced me. I think Coach Dodge should recruit nothing but "tight ends" for every position. Heck, get rid of all the coaching staff and hire the best "flash-in-the-pan" HC, DC, OC.....DIII, DII or whatever coach that looks good for that particular week. Reminds me of me with a laser pointer and watching a little kitty chase the "red dot" all around the house....."there it is kitty...get it"......"no, there it is kitty....chase it"......"there it is kitty...jump, jump, jump." Heck, bring back the Triple Option becuz the service acadamies used it and won.....hire all their staff to come here. Next year they may win with the "Wing-T" so we will, naturally, get rid of our coaches and incorporate that into our program with their coaches and players. You guys are talking "merry go round." This sort of reminds me of incoming freshmen who stand in front of the admin building trying to figure out which women who pass buy that they are going to have meaningful relationships for the rest of their meaningless freshman lives. After all said and done it similar to a dog chasing their tail or some pimple faced freshman taking a long shower with a jar of petrolium jelly.

What this story is not telling us.....and.....we may never know the full extent of the other deals that the senators will benefit from the various kickbacks, bribes and sell outs. It is like Al Gore advocating against global warming so his ownerships in "green" firms will profit. It is like individuals speaking for um-teen thousand or a million per engagement and saying they will donate that money to "charity"...... their own "four-oh-something" tax exempt charitable organization so they "do not" have to pay income tax on the money they receive. Then, like true Americans, draw that same money out and pay themselves a "tax-exempt" salary from their "charity." When will Ceaser cross the Rubicon?

Don't be discouraged on the number of early offers.....perhaps other programs were looking to offer but withdrew their offers after these players accepted, early, to play for NT. Happens, don't you agree?? Besides, NT will probably pick up some excellent players who were looking at "free rides" to other "prestigious schools" the closer everyone gets to signing day. Not everyone gets into their first, second or third choice of FB programs. Just a thought.......What are the odds again this year that Troy will sign another class of at least 40 or 50 players?

Recruiting is "not" over......however.......I am impressed with the current committments and the others that Coach Dodge is going after. To me he and his band of merry men are competing to get the best. We can only wish all the recruiters good hunting.

nobody can deny his success so why fault his raise due to his performance? we may not recieve a raise like that in our life time, however, we do expect raises for our performance in our own jobs. so what is the difference? coach brown's success equates to the amount of revenue generated by his program in all facets of the game. does not jerry jones make more money on the assundries that the cowboy's sell rather than ticket and parking sells?

A couple of days ago Barton, basically, had the same article in the FWST. He compared TCU to Baylor for the last five years and said that during that time TCU made something like $2.5 million from four bowl games while Baylor made $4.5 million for their cut of the Big 12 revenues. The article was in the paper but was not posted on the FWST web site.

GreyEagleOne- I hope you are correct......but IMHO this will "only" happen through Congress.......and......not voluntarily through the current FB administration. I think this is so because the BCS does not want to "share" the huge profits with the little guys....the mid majors. Who knows the BCS may be "greasing the hands of those who can change it." If Obama can take over the auto and banking industries then he can take over the BCS.

HOA's do have rules but at the same time the flag flying issues that have been taken to the courts have ruled in favor of the "flag flying vets." This HERO fought and saw his buddies die (and probably has nightmares to this day from the horror) to have the right to fly the flag.

$$$$, power and politics................that is the way it has been and always will be. I once met the man who was the head of the Texas Prison System back in the 30's, 40's and or 50's. I can not remember his name but his nickname was the "Big Stick." He told our group a story of a bus load of convicts unloading in Huntsville and "Big Stick" said he gave his usual speech to the new group and one of the convicts stated that he had heard that there is some "homosexual" activity that happens in prison and what he could do about it. "Big Stick" said he told the new guy that you have two options..........pull down your pants or fight. things just don't change......be it Florida State "SEMINOLES" (BCS) or Arkansas State "RED WOLVES"........aka Indians (mid major). Some folks have lost the cajones to fight because it is easier to pull down your pants.

Since the mystery is over concerning Coach Dodge and his staff for next year it is time to quit stating would have....should have.....could have.....and all the blame games that have surrounded this board for the last few weeks. No matter what ya'lls personal feelings are it is time to look forward to next year.....like it not Coach Dodge will be the coach for 2010, period. What we should "now" be concerned with is WHO will be the new recruits. Personally I am glad Coach Dodge is staying and am more excited about recruiting season. I wish Coach Dodge and his staff happy hunting and wishing that QBs Dodge & Tune speedy recoveries.....along with the rest of the physical pains of the other players. Today was a nice Christmas present for all.............................well most of us.

All the coaches were there for more than THREE years..... Let's be realistic..............
