Financial Reform
eulesseagle replied to SilverEagle's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
90, you should have made a comparison with California & Greece. Riots in both California and Greece .... out of control spending with no restraints .... people leaving California because of the cost of living (taxes) to support the ever increasing government spending & Greece with the already large state government with life long pensions....almost mirrors our unions with the subsequent bailout so they, too like Greece, can have their life long pensions. Both California and Greece do not want to take any financial reductions to solve any collapse of their respective governments. Since the IMF will assist in the bailout of Greece....can you guess who the largest contributor of the IMF is?? USA -

Drill Here Drill Now!
eulesseagle replied to eeally's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
eeally, you can purchase an electric car today, in the USA, if you want to. San Diego, along with other western cities have electic hook ups around the city for green minded people. with the drawback of battery failure you (as another poster cited in a similar post...)will spend a few thousand for a battery. the government would have to do something really draconian for all americans to drive green. Subsidies? what doesn't the government subsidize....should be the question. RR, Airlines, Welfare, Agriculture, Auto, Banking, Nursing homes, MHMR....oh yea, soon to be Insurance.....the list is way too long. The government tightly controls just about all aspects of all companies but gives you the impression (at times) that you have control. Kinda like socialism light....think about it....the government wants you to regurgitate the pavlovian response that america is a republic, the land of the free...home of the brave and cite how many freedoms that we have while they enforce socialistic policies. it is like the story of a frog who is inticed to take a warm bath by a hungy hobo. before long the frog is cooked and was not even aware of the danger. There are layers of safeguards in all these industries, as has been already pointed out in this post and other similar posts. how far do you go with system redundancies? the problem with this along with other industries is that when something happens people want greater safeguards....and....the government responds by taking greater control. does it matter if it is airliners, amtrak, tainted peanut butter, agrarian diseases, immigration, drugs or anything else? I am sure the fine that BP will pay will be dependent upon how much they will contribute to the democratic party and how many hands will be "greeeeezed." -
Immigration Reform
eulesseagle replied to gangrene's topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
gangrene & hickory house....well said +1. the democrats have always built their base around new immigrants, illegal and otherwise as well as other diverse groups. just take a look who tradionlly votes for them. of course they want illegals naturalized for a greater hold on power. do you not think that approximately 20 million new voters would enhance their power?- 38 replies

Re-Fanning The Flames On A Slow Subject Day

did you write this during an early happy hour? -
UNT90 is correct....take 'em all out. War is not a political correct police action and the men/women that fight these conflicts are trained for one purpose....to inflict as much hurt on the enemy before they inflict the same to us. Where have we gotten away from this concept?? Name me a war where NO civilians got killed? Innocent or maybe not so innocent civilians get killed every day in war along with the combatants. That is life and it will never change no matter how much some people try to justify trying to fight politically correct with zero collateral damage. It has never happened and will not happen. If some top enemy opperative was in some mud hut with several of his top people along with 15 of their grandkids I would not think twice about dropping the mother of all bombs on that hut because.......he would do the same to me if he had the chance and we all know that!!

Worst Presidents: FDR: Took America way too far into a socialist society way too fast. LBJ: Kept us on the path that FDR laid out. BHO: Nailing the last nails in the coffin from FDR & LBJ. Wilson: Gave away our ability to control our own money to the internationalist bankers...Federal Reserve. Got us into a European Civil War to save all the money they lent the Brits and the French. If WW kept our boys home in 1917 would a second trip been necessary by FDR? Carter: Spineless but got to have loved 24% interest rates. Truman: 1st prez not to allow us to win a war. 80% of US casulties came defending the 38th Parallel.

This terrorist will look like all his other buddies in the field & if he gets hit with hot lead from some Marine or takes an air to surface missle then that is too bad. I really do not think that there is "any" special attempt to seach this traitor out just to give him a fair trail. Let him take his chances. The US had a similar situation a few years ago with some anglo California kid from a well to do family being captured in Afganistan with some of his buds. Couldn't tell 'em apart....dirty, nasty looking, bearded & traditional clothing. I still remain a little concern about the special power of the POTUS to issue kill orders on what is stated as terrorists. It still remains an ambiguous term how it is used and how it might apply to someone who may disagree with state policy.

Got to agree that this goes a little further than what Bush did. It appeared that there were too many decision makers to "eliminate" a terrorist and sometimes they just got away while we had them in our cross-hairs waiting on a final approval. My main concern is with the statement to eliminate these selected individuals by: "unchecked accusations by the executive branch." In some respect some members of the left want to classify anyone who disagrees with their left leaning policies as a terrorist like "tea party" rallies. Does the leader of the Oklahoma Tea Party group get a visit in the middle of the night from the orders of the "executive branch" because of "unchecked accusations by the executive branch?"

That was the tent I was in a few years back. Spent 10 days in Munich during Octoberfest. That was a great time. Met a German family and they had me over to their home and their mom's house the last night I was in Munich. What a great bunch of people. Munich has better looking women than what I have seen in Texas. Yes Quoner, as a history buff who has visited various battlefield sites, I did go to Hitler's digs at Berchesgaden. Looking down from the "Eagle's Nest" was the most beautiful site I have ever seen. If I were to die today I can truely say that I have seen the most beautiful site on God's green earth. For those who have not been to the Munich Octoberfest...you have got to go.

What I saw of QB Tune, last year, he really looked pretty good. Not a nimble scrambler as RD but looked poised and appeared to know what he was doing. Knows how to move the ball.....heck, some of you lard bodies would look good handing the ball off to our RB's. I would have no regrets to have Tune start. He does come from a winning HS program. As for the other two QB's .... let the coaches decide instead of us.

I take it you dislike the truth? -
To some respect you are right. Much of this was perpitrated by the Catholic Church. To the Jews it was directed at them. There really was not any sort of Protestant Reformation during this time. So who, then, were the victims? Mostly jews and unbelievers and your personal enemies and people you just did not like. During these times the Jews (and others) were forced to convert to the Catholic Church. If not then you could be tortured/killed. Some jews and others half heartedly and some fully reformed to catholosism. The worst was some fellow called Torquemada (sp)who was a Converso (a former Jew who had gone to the "other side."). I have seen his name in the same sentence with Trotsky, Lennin, Stalin and Hitler.....and just as brutal.

Pumping our own energy is something we should have been doing years ago. That way we don't have to go over to the Saudi's and bow and say thanks for you giving us your oil and thank you for letting us fight your wars with our men. If we had been engergy independent in the first Gulf War would we have really cared if Saddam took over Kwait? I would have viewed it as a regional conflict just like the Iraq-Iran War. Let the arab states handle their own problem. However, I do agree that we should go after the terrorist where ever they hide for the protection of our country. As far as the "green cars".....just give me cheap gas and not some souped up moped on four wheels that eats up my electricity. What do ya do when your wife forgets to tell you she already drove 90 miles and you get stranded between denton and decatur? battery for gas car....$50--------------battery cells for elect car $10,000. Hummm, let me think about that. Heck, by the time this thing gets into production with the "union labor" the car will cost a lot lot lot more.

635......muslims, after mohammed's death invaded Christian Syria and Palestine. 640......muslims, after taking Persia, Armenia and mesopotamia invaded Christian Egypt. 711......muslims invaded Gibraltar and took Portugal & Spain. 721......muslims invaded France. 732......muslims defeated by Charles Martel @ Poitiers-Tours. 827......muslims invaded Sicily 840......muslims invaded Bari. 841......muslims invaded Ancona in the Adriatic & Ostia. 911......muslims crossed the Alps to invade Piedmont. 940......muslims occupied Toulon. The Crusades were, essentially, a cause and effect situation. They were a response to centuries of invasions and occupations. They were a counter offensive to stem Islamic expansion in Christian Europe. The muslims had turned Europe into their battlefield of world expansion. 1356....84 years after the 8th Crusade the muslims took Gallipoli 1430....muslims occupied Venetian Salonika 1444....muslims took Walachia, Moldavia, Transylvania (Bulgaria & Romania). 1453....muslims took Constantinople. 1456....muslims took Athens. 1476....muslims took Friuli. 1480....muslims took Puglia. 1492....muslims defeated at Granada in Spain. Isabella give Colubus 3 ships and the next day the Inquisition begins. 1529....muslims begin invasion of Austria 1565....muslims invade Malta 1571....muslims invade Cyprus 1621 & 1672....muslims tried to invade Poland. During this time the muslims, in their wake, killed inocent men, women and children...Christian. Those who did not bow to the muslim religion were killed and others were used as slaves and concubines. They destroyed all Christian churches and priests. Has this attitude/behavior changed since they started their first invasion? No. Just read what happens today if you are a Christian in a muslim country, homosexual in a muslim country, adultrous female, thief, murder....the list goes on. muslims, today, govern about 40-50 countries...and they want more. Europeans are now waking up to this new muslim invasion and laws that favor the muslim religion. There is a backlash in France, Germany and Switzerland. Other continental European countries are begining to follow suit. England is not following their European parterners and I suspect that this country is lost.
