Ya'll have the same discussion every year at this time. I don't remember the last time NT had a winning OOC record in the last 12-15 years. http://www.cfbdatawarehouse.com/data/div_ia_team_index.php I do like Mac as I did Canalas, Dodge, Dickey, Simon, and all the rest. For once NT has an excellent coach, with credentials, an excellent staff, and a new stadium. I have full trust in what he does is correct. He did help win a "National Championship," is at practice, reviews the films, inspects the injured, and plays those who can contribute for the down, series, and game. He has my confidence vote.

The Big East Ready To Expand (SMU Primary Target)
eulesseagle replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
It is all politics.....that is how Baylor entered the Big 12. With all the shake ups CUSA may end up with teams from the SBC which were part of the SLC at one time. As much as NT tries to run from the old 1-AA SLC schools NT just can not get away from them. Politics and money. NT has neither. Just part of the "Poor Sister's Club." -
NT has played "three" .....undefeated..... teams to begin the year. Who would have thought that FIU would be 3 - 0. FIU may go undefeated this year. They are big, strong, and well coached. UH & Alabama .... well what can ya say other than they are just really good with a great deal of talent. It would be difficult to really judge the true talent that NT has based on the first three games against FIU, UH, and Alabama. We all want Coach Mac to do well only because NT does not want to become known as the graveyard of college coaches and be known as the NMSU of Texas.

Mean Green vs. Crimson Tide Watching Party
eulesseagle replied to UNT 90 Grad's topic in Mean Green Football
Rudy's is really good BBQ....since I have a commitment in Allen on Saturday I was planning on being there for a couple of quarters of NT fb. -
Three SBC teams in the Bottom 10 and one in the Waiting List. I would say the SBC deserves to be #11. Alabama will not help the cause but the Indiana game will be an excellent indicator of how the team will do the remainder of the year.
-
This is typical coach speak. Coach Mac will be saying the same thing, hopefully, in the near future on teams that NT is favored by a few touchdowns.

Totally agree.....but.....your post is way too short. +1

Nobody knows how all the possible senarios are going to play out with the various teams/conferences. The best anyone, presently, can do is guess and state some subjective comment that favors their team. IMHO, the majority of who stays and goes to BCS conferences is mostly political and the rest determined by attendance, facilities, & financial support. Does the size of the school matter? heck no. Look at "private schools." However, the politics, attendance, faciities, & ect. may have a more balancing effect on Mid-Major programs. Since getting invited to any BCS conference, from a mid-major program is almost impossible (TCU did it)...the best anyone can do in the mid- majors is play musical chairs like the BCS. If the BCS goes to super conferences then mid-majors will mimic. Keep guessing.....and.....keep posting rumors and wish lists.

I am not a big Perry fan for these reasons: 1. You have the question of Texas forcing female students to take Gardasil shots to prevent STD's over the rights of the parents. 2. You have the mega Trans-Texas Corridor that was going to be built by a Spanish company and use eminent domain to secure the land. This corridor was to begin on the west coast of Mexico where China is currently building one of the largest sea ports in this hemisphere. http://www.mexidata.info/id1278.html http://insightanalytical.wordpress.com/2009/03/12/maps-major-ports-usmexico-border-transportation-planning-fhwa/ 3. Accoring to The American Independent of 6-20-11 Texas has the highest number of entry level (minimum wage jobs) positions in the U.S. In Perry's defense...these are jobs vs. unemployment. 4. Tx. debt has doubled since Perry became governor. http://www.politifact.com/texas/statements/2010/mar/04/bill-white/white-says-texas-debt-has-doubled-under-perry/ 5. One of the worst records for education: http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/editorial/outlook/7414727.html 6. If you are into conspiracy of the Bildiberger...he is a member: IMHO, Perry is part of "The Establishment" and would keep the United States on course from Bush...Clinton...Bush...Obama. Ron Paul, IMHO, is the only clear choice to undo what has already been done...however, it may be too late to fix.

NT leased the site for a while and I took an astonomy class (pass/fail) one summer to qualify for enough full time hours to get full benefits for my G.I. Bill. A buddy of mine leased some space, at this site, for part of his photography studio. This site was built to protect dallas/ft worth from incomming. The other interesting site is the complex east of denton, just south of university dr, that was one of three or four that was a massive underground bunker complex that was designed to house the president and his staff in case of war. i once took a tour of the place....impressive.

I really do not think I would form any opinion on what Hannity or Moore had to say. Over exposed pop figures just want to sell you a book of simplisticaly trite information that is yesterday's news and nothing "in depth." Most of the turn of the 19th to 20th century books dealing with this subject are extremely informative and I would say up to 1965. Books after 1965 I am a little more careful about. Abe's Books is good for all around information that you can purchase from all around the world. Bolerium Books is pretty much left leaning even though I have purchased some good conservative material. To understand the future you have to understand the past and understand how they were looking at the future....and not how we look at the past today.

looks like some excellent reviews on the book: http://www.amazon.com/Creature-Jekyll-Island-Federal-Reserve/product-reviews/0912986212/ref=cm_cr_pr_top_link_2?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=0&pageNumber=2 This is an interesting synopsis of "The Fed"...looks pretty accurate from what I have read in the past. http://www.infowars.com/the-federal-reserve-cartel-the-eight-families/

I believe it will come down to Ron Paul and Michelle Bauchman. Mitt Romney... will fail on his hellth care in Mass. Gingrich......part of the establishment...and just wants to sell more books & no interest in the presidency. Cain..........no name recognition...has good ideas. Perry.........too many shaddy deals in Texas. Palin.........has already been demonize by the press...has good ideas. The rest......no name recognition. Trump.........in/out/in/out...mr. bankruptcy won't run. Huckabee......see Gingrich...will make more off his TV show. Jeb Bush......I hope not. Jersey Gov....sounds like a good gov...but his heart.

FFR you have to get in the "Way Back Machine" for this one. 1. Barney Frank and the democrats, during the Clinton admin pushed through the "Everyone in American can buy a House Program." This forced the banks to hand out bad loans....I don't have to go into detail because everyone knows the story. This, IMHO, was the begining of the housing financial debacle. Now, B.Frank wants to "gut" the military to save Freddie and Fannie Mac.....which may be down graded....and before it is downgraded ... then look for another "bailout." Heck Greenspan said last week that we can print more money. What? This is a default. Only people who have bought out would do something like this. 2. Prez Wilson and his admin let the "international bankers" have control of our money. Hence the Federal Reserve.....It is not federal nor is it reserve.....everyone knows the story. 3. Class warfare? take a look at the 1964 Civil Right's Act. Not really civil and not really right. The democrats, with this act, bought the votes of those this act protected and the entire tentical system that grew from this entitlement. Heck, entitlements have been around forever. Just take a look at the history of the Northeastern cities. Immigrants departing the boats and the democratic party bosses wait for them with housing , jobs, and food for their vote. Read "Up from the Streets the life of Alfred Smith" or "Milligan" (Thomas Pendegast: democratic party boss of K.C....Prez Truman was part of this). The CRA 1964, as you know, includes hiring practices....and one only has to take a look at past lawsuits that are challenging these practices. Is it fair? nope....is it law? yep. 4. Personally, I have not voted for a dem or a rep in quite a while. Why? they have not represented me for quite a while....a long while. When the democrats are in power they grab as much socialism as possible. When the republicans are in power they do not do anything to repeal these laws and in many cases add to the socialistic agenda by being bought by the special interest groups. Bohner and the republicans caved again and the boogyman is the tea party. Both parties know the tea party is a threat to their existance. 5. If anyone really thinks that Obama, Bush I or II, and Clinton were their own men while in the White House I would dare say they were just "puppets" to the people who really run the "Global Economy"....the internationalists. Yep the same folks who took our money from Wilson and put us in the federal reserve.

Unfortunately the Tresuary keeps printing fiat currency....Print more money is the answer. It is almost like someone's "ex" saying, "We can't be out of money I have more checks." http://dailybail.com/home/print-money-thats-how-im-gonna-fix-the-economy.html This 33 second video says it all....almost. The United States is almost at the final station of bankruptcy that has been, virtually, planed for decades. Think about this: 1913 Wilson puts our money into the hands of international bankers by creating the federal reserve. Let's not kid ourselves who the international bankers are and what their agenda entails. World domination of currency. Conspiracy? No...but only for the uniformed. IMHO, some of the best writings on this subject were the Catholic community in the 1920's and 1930's and from some "orthodox" Jewish leaders. I make this distintion because like in any organized religion there are your believers and non-believers who attend services....it is almost like being a republican or republican in name only. Same concept. One may also state that the Bible states the same concept of the "Mark of the Beast." One world order...one world currency. The other obvious indicators that the United States is, at least AA+, is: **we are at 100% of GNP....kinda like where Greece was a couple of years ago. **gold approaching $1700/oz. and predicted to be at $2k/oz by the end of the year. **food prices up 35-40% over the last 18 months. **gas prices still up over a dollar since the BP leakage in the gulf. **unemployment, according to the govt. at 9%+....if you believe the govt.. **housing.........need i say more? **50% of americans "do not pay" taxes! **H. Ross Perot once said in the early 90's, that sucking sound is american jobs going overseas....concerning NAFTA.....well...it has not stopped since. **republicans fold again by raising the debt ceiling last week. IMHO, again, the logical course of action, by congress..et al....is to print more fiat money and raise the taxes while concurrently keeping our welfare state growing.

Perhaps being sarcastic is a way of saying that you are unfamiliar with the topic. Perhaps you can give your opinion on the subject without sarcasm. -
congrats!

As I predicted the Republican's caved to the Democrats. One in the same. Rand Paul has a nice open letter on his web site briefly explaining the situation. One interesting item is the mentioning of the "Super Congress." http://paul.senate.gov/?p=press_release&id=280 Congressman Ron Paul explains what the "Super Congress" is: http://www.infowars.com/ron-paul-sounds-alarm-on-disturbing-super-congress/ Form your own opinion. ________________________________________________________ War is Peace....Freedom is Slavery.....Ignorance is Strength (George Orwell from 1984 written in 1949) Funny Russian expression: An Optimist learns English because the country may open up. A Pesimist learns Chinese because he is afraid the Chinese will conquer us. A Realist learns to use a Kalishnikov. ________________________________________________________ As I have been saying for some time there is really no differences between the Dems or Republicans. Both parties do seem to demonize the Tea Party....which is a good thing because it is the Tea Party that is upsetting the status quo in Washington. -
http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/08/01/us-usa-debt-deal-fb-idUSTRE7700OL20110801 uhhhh......the republicans lost again. looks like a bunch of promises and deferments for future votes and more compromises in the future. this is why i vote Independent because i want to vote and i want the two major parties to know that i vote BUT not for them. Why? because the two major parties DO NOT represent me anymore and have not for a long time.
