We did not get trumped by Benson. UTA is that ugly girl whose number you got one time, didn't think you'd ever have to use it, but now you haven't had any in months and is marginally better than phone sex. You think UNT lacks athletic support from its alumni and student body? UTA is a different story. Besides the money it would cost to start a football program, I believe UTA would need to add 2 more women's sports to be title IX compliant (this issue was raised on the WAC board, I haven't done any research to verify).

I'd love to see us rock a matte green helmet at times, but think that's a total waste of $ to have more than 1 helmet. Anyways, maybe our uniform design will look like this? Sans lettering down the pants and whatever the hell is on the shoulders of the one style. I like the photoshoot and video they put together, I'd love for us to do something like this.

One of my brother's business ventures is an online hat store named snapbacks.com . For those of you who don't know, or don't remember, snapbacks are the style of hat with the plastic snap enclosures, rarely used since flex-fit, but have become enormously popular within the last couple of years - especially with HS and college aged kids. Because snapback hats were very popular in the past, most of the ones sold today have a retro look to them, with older logos being used. Anyways, large schools are readily produced by the manufacturer but my brother can also make custom orders, but would need to produce a minimum of 72 hats. He has called upon me to get a feeler for demand, and if so, what you'd like to see on there. I'm not expecting 72 people on GMG even be interested, he'd be selling them on the website or through his retail store in Austin called NiceKicks The company that makes these hats will put the school or team name in big block letters with a logo on the side of the hat. Example of a Clemson hat My idea: NORTH TEXAS in block letters Flying worm side logo (the original, not SOW) Black hat kelly green brim lettering and logo in kelly green, outlined in white Feel free to make suggestions, comments, concerns, etc. I'm hoping enough people are interested because I'd love to have a UNT snapback myself.

They can talk all they want, but they won't come close to filling it. Same goes for UTSA, but hey I heard NE Oklahoma St travels well...

Preach. Although I like how North Texas looks spelled out on our basketball uniforms and hated the old UNT ones we used to have years ago. Side note: Most of the time when I see NTSU it's on forum sites, and we ALL know the cool thing to do is call a school by its old name that it was embarassed of enough to make a name change. I'll never understand why this is cool and I roll my eyes whenever I see GMG posters using TSUSM or SWTSUSM, etc.

Ya, that sentance made me pretty sure of it. But I swear I read on GMG years ago that someone wasn't allowed to bring one in...this was back in my trolling days though so I'm not sure of the reason or if my memory is slipping already.

Next year's draft will have an overwhelming amount of talent, much to do with this year's CBA. I don't think Tony makes it as a lottery pick if he comes out this year.

I really hope he stays that long for us. I saw in an ESPN mock draft a week or two ago that he would be late 2nd round/undrafted in next year's (2012) draft.

I feel dumber for just having read the WAC board. I can't wait to schedule UTSA & Texas St in football, they talk like they will mop us....I think our coaching staff could put on some jerseys and give each team a game.
