Porush and I swear by their sammiches. The shaved ribeye is one of the better things is I've ever had. We actually had dinner there last night as well - I'm ashamed to say that I've been getting the grilled chicken sammich the last few times. I have no idea wtf they do to it, b/c grilled chicken sounds as fun as church. But holy lord almighty they do something to that chicken to transform it into something else.

Were you at Uncle Uber's? The paper and lettuce leads me to believe so..I will go to war to defend their sammiches.

After agents, NFL retirement plan contribution, fed & state taxes, and family there might not be a whole lot left. Still a young guy that needs to look out for his future before doing anything sizable with his green for mean green. But I'm sure RV has contacted him.

Never heard of this restaurant before. Still have yet to try a Zaxby's. I'll get on board with the chicken E>cane's hype. I also hate how full of themselves they are with that sauce. IIRC they charge quite a bit if you want extra. CFA sauce > Cane's sauce.

After 9 wonderful years in DFW, it is time for me to spread my wings and fly once more. I've accepted a job in Denver, CO and will be moving late spring/early summer. Denver seemed to be the happy medium between my west coast upbringing and my wife's Texas roots. Will miss the season tickets but I'm sure my wife will have us back year MANY times a year. Anyone up that way?

You can't compare $2 In N Out burgers to $10 Rodeo Goat. Tried RG in Dallas two weeks ago. It was good, but I was let down to be honest. There was very little beef in my nearly $10 burger. The meat did have a nice flavor though.

Hasn't held me back, no. Would I have gotten where I am today, at least as fast as I have, without the certifications I did on my own time post-grad? Definitely not. I have seen jobs in private equity that I haven't applied for because they do specifically state the type of school they want to see a degree from. I considered at length busting my ass to try for a top-15 MBA program to get into PE, but I just can't afford the implicit cost for 2 years and doubt that the payback or quality of life afterwards would be worth it.

You get a look at the upper deck at the peach bowl? Fiesta was closer given UA fan base being right there and this being their 2nd big bowl ever.

All of today's games have had horrible attendance. In today's economy, which has Americans spending lots on discretionary spending, you have to reason that it's playoff or bust mentality at big schools. Poetic justice that ESPN is killing it for big programs.

Parquet Courts - Sunbathing Animal is up there for me agree on lots of the above. Really enjoyed Future Island's latest, thought Spoon's was pretty solid. Was fortunate enough to see both this year after having missed both on their last trips through Dallas (which had been 2012 I think?) Biggest miss of the year: TVOTR. I just can't. Can we just return to the cookie mountain? Honorable mention to DFA 1979, really let me down. Most overhyped of the year? That's easy, FKA Twigs.
