Agreed. As I recall, Trey was one of the guys who hosted PJ Hardwick on his visit. I think if Trey was concerned about his own playing time, he would have been more motivated to leave after the guy he helped lure here to play PG signed on. Not after bringing in a 2 guard. I don't think Trey is someone who is driven by playing maximum minutes. Chris Jones mentioned Trey (and Jordan) helping to convince him to commit to UNT. Between that and Hardwick... I don't think the guy would help sell UNT to players who would take those minutes away. He knows he only played 11 minutes a game last year, and that was with Chris out 2/3rds of the year and the coaches that recruited him running the lineups. And he knew Hardwick was coming back the first week of May. If this were about Trey wanting minutes, I don't think the process would have started after Taylor joined us and created a 14 players for 13 scholarships situation.

Nobody... Yet. But, taking a look at player Twitter accounts... Trey Norris flew to St. Louis with his family, worked out with a different team, and got treated to a pretty tasty looking steak. He's talking about how hard it's going to be to be away from his girlfriend, and for the past few weeks he's been talking about big changes, wondering what it'll be like to live in a different state, and saying how life is going to be different. It wasn't always like that for Trey... As recently as July 30th, he was happily representing UNT basketball. But the very next day, things started going bad somehow. What the heck happened that would make Trey Norris turn on a dime like that on July 31st? Why would Tony Mitchell be trying to cheer him up with 'things happen for a reason' and 'use it as motivation' talk? Oh, wait... It might just be the Buzzsaw. Looks like we're that sort of program now. Where's the vomit emoticon?

Or, to one of the bball powerhouse schools that are already pursuing him right now.

TALE OF THE TAPE: Coach Dickey: Diabetes, gall bladder removal due to complications Heart attack during season Longest conference win streak: 26 games Signature home win vs. bottom feeder BCS school: Baylor Demoralizing beatdown from Tulsa? CHECK UNT record vs. SMU: 1-0 Coach Mac: Eye issues, partial blindness due to complications Stroke during offseason Longest conference win streak: 1 game (current streak: 1 game) Signature home win vs. bottom feeder BCS school: Indiana Demoralizing beatdown from Tulsa? CHECK UNT record vs. SMU: To Be Determined Close on many measurements, but... Beat SMU or win 27 conference games in a row. Until further notice- Scoreboard, Dickey. I do still love Coach Mac, though.

Ark State reassigns AD for lack of fundraising.

+1. Agreed. I had my concerns on that front, but the pricing seems to have been pretty well in line with the interest level. -
If we lose 10+ games, there is no way in hell we get an NCAA at-large bid.

Don't hate on Blue Mountain Mystery, sir. -
Just like football, there are two prominent polls: one voted on by AP sportswriters, and one run by ESPN/USA Today that receives ballots from 25 or 30 (don't remember the exact number) D1 head coaches.

Also... An NCAA tournament win (to say nothing of a Sweet 16 berth) is a very, very difficult thing. There are multiple BCS conference teams that have never won a single NCAA tournament game.

I'd put our odds of a top 25 ranking during the season at 5%, and even that is probably optimistic. Get through OOC with no bad losses, 2 maximum, and start off on a tear during conference season... Get to something like 22 or 23 wins against 2 losses... And then there's a chance. And, not knowing exactly who we've sold games to, I wouldn't be too sure of our ability to start out that hot. Here's a thread that talks about what it takes to earn a ranking and how different it is compared to being a top 25 football team. Started it up because we made it to 13-2 back in 2010-11.

I can't recall how many people can fit in the wing section... 8,000? Seems pretty ambitious. Maybe we can set a more reasonable goal and use that as a breakthrough to get everything we want? My suggestion would be to try and bring in enough people to fill the top of one of the wings. If anyone needs a catchy slogan, we could call it "Operation: Just the Tip".

I looked it up yesterday, and I think he's about 3 1/2 hours driving. Close enough to pick us up at the Philadelphia airport.

That depends on how the Taylor arrival impacts our other scholarship guys. If everyone stays, then we're down to 2 in the next class. If someone goes, we're swapping guys and we'd still have 3 to give. -
I've always been a very fast talker. Comes from learning and speaking Greek first, I think, because my Mom is the same way but my Dad and brother aren't. I think both of us wanted to do it last year, but CBL had some availability issues and then we weren't able to lock in a regular schedule. We tried to set something up where he'd only have to do one week out of every 2 or 3, but couldn't find someone else who followed as close to sub in for him. And I don't think me talking alone for 20 minutes is particularly compelling or informative entertainment. Hopefully, though. ?

What do they know about Ray??? If I were the UTSA Roadrunner or the Old Dominion whatever, I'd be demanding an armed guard. -

We'll see. Someone is definitely going either academic or out of pocket. Could be TJ, could be someone else. -

Meh. He's only really going to do two days anyway. -
More importantly - Did he buy or rent?

Awesome. I'm a little anxious until we find out exactly how his school is getting paid for... But this is undeniably a good thing for our team talent level. And a boost to our greatest weakness from last year. -
I have been trying to get a green basketball jersey since Christmas of either 2008 or 2009. I finally gave up waiting and just bought a white one a few months back.
