I see some Tyler Hall in there, too.

Helpful hint that a fraternity guy couldn't tell you and UNT90, but I can... "Cynical" means dog-like. When you call someone that, you're saying they're ugly and smell bad. And don't call someone a Stoic if you're uncomfortable with the unsavory phrase "porch monkey". Pretty much every ancient Greek philosophical school of thought got it's name from derogatory slang or propaganda from rival thinkers. They were almost all pejorative terms. I'm a Greek guy, and I approved this message.

He seems to really, really like Santa Clara. Then again... Who the hell knows what we may be able and willing to do to sway him our way?

Controversial. I don't have the heart to tell you about the years Scrappy spent in a communist prison.

3 tubes. 3 games. I'm helpless for the bowl game, though. Can you live with 6-7?

Funny you should mention that... 3 fingers, or 4?

Also, for the historical record: We're 1-0 at home when NT03 binge eats Girl Scout cookies during the game. We're 0-1 at home when MeanMag spends the whole game with his dillywhacker dangling out of his tattered Incredible Hulk pants. If NT03 shows up with an appetite, and MeanMag wears some trousers that fully contain his ballsac, historical trends indicate we might just notch a win this weekend.

See? Sounds like we need some South in (our) Mouth!

I thought those were all Ag kids.

Losing to a 1-AA program is essential in our fan base accepting a coach as worthy and capable of success. Taggart, Stockstill, Barry... Losing to South Alabama would be the clearest sign that Dan Mac is destined for greatness.

Hey, I don't get to spell things with my arms anymore. I don't know that there's any greater punishment. But, and I think SilverEagle would agree with me... I'm willing to sacrifice the arm-spelling pageantry to avoid having Darrell Dickey's favorite 12-letter word included in the fight song. There are appropriate times and places to say the word "m-----f-----" at a North Texas sporting event. One is under your breath when we're losing. The other is when GreenP1 jumps in a concessions line in front of you, and then only if there are no kids in earshot.

I heard that the ULM QB hurt his ankle?

They were all out late at a barbecue, and their inferior coaches were too tired to make 2nd half adjustments. -
If Troy won, it would have been something to celebrate for at least the next 40 years.

TJ got Trey's ship. PJ took the one opened by Forrest Robinson's departure. -
There's a website by a guy who built his own broiler that was powered on a standard outlet. I think the power it took to spin it without breaking the motor required a compromise... I think it was at a 45-60 degree angle on the spit. Otherwise, it would burn out, or spin too slow (makes the outside of the cone char and spoils the cooking).
-
The problem with a horizontal spit is that much of what makes gyros taste like gyros is the fat melting out and rolling down the length of the cone. You'd get cooked meat, but it wouldn't taste like the real thing. You can blend gyro meat and cook it in the oven, but it doesn't taste right, either. Now, something like that would be ideal if we ever go big and cook a lamb on a spit. When I was a kid, we spent a year or two in Ohio, and one family did that in their back yard for Easter. Doing it right is basically an overnight cook, though... And it needs a lot of active attention. Something for a very special occasion.
-
I wasn't able to get a gyro broiler... The power even a small one of those things uses apparently overcomes a standard wall outlet. My father-in-law designs and oversees power plants, and he STRONGLY advised against it. To use one in my kitchen apparently would have required a special line run down from the attic. Safely hooking one up to a generator and cooking in the parking lot would have been quite a challenge. HOWEVER... We have successfully cooked gyros without the broiler. Buy incompletely cooked gyro meat from the rotating vertical spit at a local market. They cook it just long enough to seal it in the way you can only get from the vertical spit. Then, pan/tray cook it like fajita meat on the grill to cook thoroughly. Tastes right, and it can be done in the parking lot.

Yes. No brisket... We're hopefully doing gyros, though. And you will have to listen to blistering Know-Nothing political screeds. Other out-of-towners coming from Wisconsin, so you wouldn't be the only irregulars under the tent.

What about the Castle Doctrine/Stand Your Ground? If someone is inside your body... Just like a black teenager drinking tea in public- You should be able to exterminate them whenever and whyever you want. No prosecution. (GreenP1 isn't the only one who can joke)

I thought, given the thread, that this was about the Dodge JUCO binge, not using them as a talent resource going forward. If the point is that McCarney shouldn't take JUCO players off the recruiting table... Bring your petition to the game on Saturday, and I'll definitely sign it.
