  1. Not mad with power... Angry and empowered. As far as lack of trademark protection leading to a proliferation of unlicensed apparel... I brush with it morning and night, and all my cool subversive pals and I really feel like we're sticking it to Colgate. It's everywhere, and absolutely nobody thinks I'm a scumbag when I buy or use it in public.
  2. Talk sports or law, or we are off to the cage.
  3. It's like customizing bicycles, but inside the house. Assembling furniture makes me want to murder every person on earth... But I guess some people dig it.
  4. JohnDenver used to be a moderator here. He was driven mad by the one-two punch of original Apogee ticket selection and a currently suspended member of the forum, and tried to self-immolate. Cerebus had to light the match for him, though. Sweet desk, JD, if you happen to be lurking.
  5. Enough. Everything keeps degenerating into the same old bullshit, and this isn't even wasting any time. Locked. Any future threads like this, if they aren't going to be in the spirit and depth of Cerebus' thread on the Ukraine... Start talking about it in Political Cage Fighting.
  6. That's weird... I didn't think Obama wrote that article or did the searching it was based on. If he did, though, I guess it was terrible and I hate it.
  7. http://www.vox.com/2014/6/5/5780772/tweets-bergdahl-conservatives-politics-stupid Team sports politics is stupid, and it makes people stupid. And intolerable.
  8. I think the really fun part isn't going to be who, but instead WHY.
  9. My phone ringtone for the past 5 or 6 years has been the intro to "Casting Agents and Cowgirls". I always knew I loved you, Shuke-D.
  10. This... Um... I'm not sure how I feel about everything right now. I think we've taken an unpleasant and exceptionally personal tone here. If there's a Pitbull song to help me process my feelings, I don't know what it is. I just want everyone to at least pretend to be kind to each other again.
  11. I think we can put it to bed now. Best answer? Parenting is hard. Whether you're gouging your child's eyes out, or teaching them about currency inflation in the colonial era... It's a complicated issue. I can't tell you how to talk about the gay with your progeny. None of us can. None of us SHOULD! One thing I do know? Screw fractions. I'm not having that here. Game over.
  12. Also, keep in mind that Benford has until November to gain weight. I think he can do it.
  13. I am 99% sure we are on the same page, playing pitch-and-catch improv. But that 1% chance is part of the thrill, I think.
  14. I really feel like common love for hip hop has restored a fractured community over on the Undersized Lineman thread. In that spirit... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FShE0VifCYs Ain't nuthin' wrong if you wanna do da butt all night long.
  15. This has been a wonderful day. And to think, many here wanted Pitbull eliminated. HE BRINGS PEOPLE TOGETHER! Me, Antonio, Antonio's sister-in-law's baby cousin Tracy... And potentially so many more!
  16. I don't... But as everyone now knows, my parents tv remote wasn't as fancy as yours.
  17. Hmm... I'm trying to think of a rap song that expresses an opinion on the motivations and/or effectiveness of law enforcement. Coming up blank.
  18. Why they're SO CLOSE, you'll practically be choking on the stench of Axe body spray and unwashed Ke$ha. They're a steal at $100. Hit me up for details, and tell your friends.
  19. All this 90's rap talk has me fired up about this thread again. Top 5 list of classic 90's hip-hop albums? I'll go first, in no particular order: Return of the Bumpasaurus 12 inches of Snow The Adventures of MC Skat Kat and the Stray Mob Shaq Fu: Da Return (some people prefer Shaq Diesel... I feel he hit his true peak in the follow up) WWF Aggression Technically, Aggression came out in 2000. But it was recorded in 99, and I think it really bridged the millennium for hip-hop, getting us cleanly from Sisqo to Bubba Sparxxx.
  20. Anyway, Antonio... I'm the treasurer of the north Metroplex chapter of the Pitbull fan club. And I'm also a volunteer rep. If you haven't heard his music yet, it's because you haven't called me, or I haven't called you. Or, because you've never seen any of the Dr. Pepper ads without Macklemore in them. In any case... I have some front row concert tickets I can sell you at a very reasonable price. I'll be in chat all day, so just stop in and we can talk.
  21. You bastard. You terrible, wonderful bastard. I don't know whether I want to high five you, or kick you in the non-sexual organ.
