  1. Perhaps we should consider adding even MORE posters! The proof is in the pudding.
  2. Are you implying that there might be some sort of... For lack of a better term, 'troubling issue' on the special teams? Would you suggest that we... 'correct' that troubling issue? North Texas leaders: Repair the impediment to success!
  3. No, he's at a Texas game. I believe that's a Big 12 championship game, and he tricks the Nebraska head coach to throw the game... With unanticipated consequences.
  4. Georgia State is creating a football program, starting at 1-AA. They're an urban campus that's right in the shadow of Georgia Tech, and they haven't sponsored football until recently deciding to start in 2010. To give Texas oriented analogies... Georgia State is almost identical in every way to UT-Arlington. Georgia Southern is very similar, in terms of potential local support and no nearby rival colleges or pro teams to steal attention, to UTEP.
  5. As always, Trust Tina to tell you what to think on this (and all other matters of sports importance). One day, we will write up the 10 Commandments of Douchery. Not today, though, as we're still so happy to have won that we've sworn off negativity for a while.
  6. And HIV. But winning, at least winning a gold medal, can slow the onset of full blown AIDS.
  7. Hey, don't rush yourself or anything, coach.
  8. Mike Leach is society's greatest humanitarian. All year long, you've been telling us about how losing and losing big makes potential success so much sweeter. Stop for a moment and consider that when Leach goes out of his way to score an unnecessary last minute touchdown, he's just trying to make the opponent's fans appreciate their next win that much more! He's sacrificing his public reputation to help out his less fortunate fellow men and women. Bum? You're out of your mind. He's a damn HERO. Unless you've been blasting insane sunshine up everyone's ass all year long, Mike Leach is the model all coaches should aspire to.
  9. That's quite a zinger, my friend. I tip my hat to you. You've been in top form since this story broke. Thank you for what you're bringing to the board.
  10. Selma, Jub-Jub is FAN-tastic! He's everywhere you WANNA be!
  11. Well, I for one am absolutely SHOCKED to see an article from Troy Phillips that paints Dodge in the most favorable light possible. Shocked, I say!
  12. To your point about Dodge not playing nice or fair with the local media, I think you're spot on. But Vito didn't break this story out of spite. The fact that it has been picked up nationally should be proof enough that the story was big enough that it wouldn't have gotten buried. This isn't a guy getting drunk on Bourbon Street... This is one out of every five players failing a drug test. Smaller stuff gets buried or ignored when there's a friendly relationship, but this is way too big of a story to dodge, for lack of a better term. Even if Vito were Troy Phillips' twin brother and did most of his reporting from Todd Dodge's lap, this story would have broken somewhere else. This was too widely known to fade into oblivion.
  13. I don't have any problem with the testing... Testing is a big part of prevention and enforcement when you're trying to keep student-athletes on the right path.
  14. I disagree. In my observation, Dodge took a reactive measure, then didn't follow up with any real consequences when the results came back. At least, he hasn't yet.
  15. UT's guys were public because of criminal arrests. Ours are public because of school administered tests that are FOIA-able.
  16. Thanksgiving week tailgate, I'm bringing a family Thanksgiving staple: peanut butter soup. It sounds disgusting, but it's actually amazingly good.
  17. He was behind Quinn (almost a Packer), Jackson (almost a Charger), and Muzzy on the depth chart. Remember, Fitz was only a sophomore when Dickey was fired. We're complaining about how young and inexperienced some of the sophomores we're starting now are.
  18. Now that we've met, let's organize ourselves. You take one staircase, and I'll take the other one. At halftime, one of us is bound to be within punching distance when we tell Todd Ford that he's not getting the job done. Teamwork, baby. If we really plan this thing, I think we'll grade out at 100% on positioning and execution.
  19. Are you accusing someone of racism? That's not going to go over well here.
  20. All I'm telling you is what I saw and heard. They knew exactly what was going on with our audibles, most notably in the first half.
  21. I seem to recall another post about this, but it seems to have been flushed away.
  22. Another fine week of pimping those links.
  23. When we were at the SBC Basketball tournament, some Hilltoppers fans offered a place to stay for any WKU game I could travel to. I'd be at this game, except I owe my girlfriend big time, and I have to go to Baylor's homecoming. Will you be at the basketball game when NT travels to WKU?
