  1. Is this the one at Northwest Mall? Is there more than one? I'll be checking back to see what they tell you.
  2. It may be this year, it may be next year... But the time will come when you guys earn an NCAA berth. When it happens (and you get stuck as a 15 seed because of conference RPI), I promise that the next season you will discover reserves of goodwill and encouragement for other SBC basketball teams that you never dreamed you had inside of you. Even for FIU.
  3. Does this mean it's not even going to be available on Mean Green Premium?
  4. Y'think yer better than me? Huh? With your "counting"? HUH?!?
  5. Don't question the FIU win... Dominique Ferguson is eligible and will play tonight. EDIT: Also, FAU vs. DePaul is already listed on Channelsurfing.
  6. Biggest North Texas disappointment for Timmy Mac: The failure of the Todd Dodge era? Or spending a night buying drinks for Quoner in Hot Springs but still going back to the hotel alone?
  7. I've been meaning to tell you something... Remember those really long phone calls we had the past two weeks? When we talked about basketball? Well, it's sort of like all those girls you took pictures of with your cell phone...
  8. Weak, no. Underperforming, yes. And WKU has had a brutal schedule, so their record is very deceptive.
  9. I'll split the difference and go with 4. FIU, Troy, FAU, and either ULM or WKU. Good writeup. This is the sort of legwork and preparation that's going to make Peach Basket #3 the best one yet.
  10. It ain't final... But it ain't us. As soon as the TCU/Big East news became official, I expected him to land there. Arkansas somehow seems to have a scholarship for EVERY DAMN PLAYER WE WANT this year. I'll be interested to see where he winds up.
  11. They looked damn good in this game... Fought back well, played better than in any other game of theirs that I've seen so far. But, bold predictions aside, I'd bet money that the 2nd place team in the west will be coming from the state of Arkansas, not the state of Louisiana.
  12. I would jump all over that... But if I could get away from the in laws, I'd have gone to Baton Rouge. I appreciate the offer, though. And if I find a place, I will let you know.
  13. I appreciate the suggestions. I did already look up the Houston and North Houston branches of the LSU alumni association, and every place they listed as destinations for football watching parties (that wasn't an hour or more away from where I am) has DirecTV. I'll keep looking around and if I find somewhere, I'll let everyone know.
  14. I already tried calling Dish Network commercial services, but the people there can only look up places by address, and can't give me a list or names of any places.
  15. Okay... Cox Sports TV is apparently channel 421 on Dish Network. I am near Sugarland TX right now. Stuck here all week. If ANYONE knows of a restaurant or non-seedy sports bar type establishment (so I can take the future in-laws) within 45 minutes of Sugarland that has Dish network instead of DirecTV... You will be my hero forever. Anyone have any suggestions?
  16. I've never seen them photographed together. ?
  17. The last time I read stuff like this, someone had started an SMU thread on our forum.
  18. I think he means police officers. Plumm?
  19. 7 in evening gown, 7.5 in swimsuit, 8.5 in interview. Looking forward to seeing the talent portion of the competition.
  20. Legion's first game for them. No Dominique Ferguson, though. Not a good sign for their hopes of using him during conference play.
  21. Shawn Williams has to be making a decision within the next few days. I'm not really expecting him to choose us at this point, but we were one of the 3 or 4 schools he was considering at last update.
  22. A couple of us thought they might be favorites for the East over the offseason... But I at least backed off from that as the year got closer and gave the nod to WKU. The scary thing about FAU is that they're winning quality games without really using Ray Taylor. He's practically a bench guy now... He was suspended early for some disciplinary thing and now he's been bumped down to a secondary option. Went from 33 mpg and 14+ points last year as a freshman to just 8 ppg and 25 mpg (5th on the team) through a third of this season. At this point last year, the two guys who were most deserving of Player of the Year were Billy Humphrey (who tore up his knee) and Ray Taylor. Even as a true freshman only 10 games into his first season, Taylor was tearing things up. Also, they've got Kore White now, and Royster isn't a one man band in the paint anymore. They can score in the paint, they've still got the defensive POY on the roster, all their freshmen are back and more experienced... And they've got their Josh White sitting back and not even really contributing anything close to what he's capable of doing. Early success and OOC wins are going to make this a confident team. Pair that with their talent and the complete rotation they have in place, and it could be a very big year for them.
  23. Could improve our basketball. Based on what I know they did a year or two ago, I bet they could take down Troy, ULM, and at least one other team on a neutral floor. I'm not really kidding, either.
  24. So you're of the opinion that both the specific number (and overall talent) of the members of the rotation are inadequate at this point? You prescribe that the Rangers need to pursue an additional starter? Obtain more hurlers? Acquire greater arms, in terms of both quantity and quality? Your ideas are intriguing to me, and I wish to subscribe to your newsletter. I think you're one catchy slogan away from a philosophy I can get on board with.
  25. I think we all know what the Rangers need to do now. I've said it many times, and I'll say it once more. They need to avoid overreacting. Don't make any panic moves. Spend wisely, probably on hitting and defense given the current free agent market. Take the resources they have, shop intelligently, buttress the skill positions, and bide their time. If a difference maker is available on the trade market for a reasonable price, pursue it. But don't make rash decisions and spend huge money just for the sake of making a move.
