I did something similar for the 2009-10 basketball season. That's the year we made the NCAA's with Tramiel and Odufuwa, and I went to 24 of our 33 games. Left side of the frame is all the regular season stubs, middle is the schedule poster, right side is the postseason stubs under the DRC sports section front page from the SBC Tournament Championship final when we beat Troy and clinched the NCAA berth. It's a little over 3 feet wide, and it's been hanging in our house for 7 years now. I thought about getting it professionally done, but a custom framing job is skilled work, and you'll pay a premium for it. For what I wanted, I took a chance (luckily, had two of everything in case I screwed it up or didn't like it) and wound up very happy with it. Happy enough that I've done something similar for 3 other keepsakes that are decorating my house since then, each a little more complicated than the last. My suggestion, unless this is something like a degree or a bridal portrait that you absolutely feel is worth the money for a custom frame... Go to Michael's, find a 2'x3' frame (or whatever, depending on what you want to lay in there) that you should be able to find for $40 or cheaper, especially this time of the year. Something like this: http://www.michaels.com/black-hampton-home-collection-frame-studio-decor/M10382886.html?dwvar_M10382886_color=Black Get a piece of posterboard (you can use fabric, but it's more likely to slip or come loose over time) in the color you want, presumably kelly or hunter green, and cut it to fit the backing piece of the frame. If you're a little off... No problem, because it's inset and you won't see the edges of the backing since they're beyond the visible interior edge of the frame. Use double-stick tape to position everything where you want it, and you should be all good. With Photobucket down, I don't have an example to show you... If you want to see how it turned out for me, I can text you some photos. PM me your number to make sure I still have it right, and I'll show you what you can do on your own for $25-40 or less. A custom job is going to be a lot more, so if price is an issue (or not worthwhile enough to justify the cost), you can probably do it yourself. I'm not handy or crafty at all, and I've made it work nicely several times now. Even if you're anxious about it, if you're still in or near Lewisville, you can just bring everything over to our house and I'll help you out with it.

So... Did you go? And, if so... Whatdidyahave, whatdidyahave, whatdidyahaaaave?

Harry, fixed the topic for you. Gotta be careful, don't click "post" until everything is in there. -
I think, since he was in the military, that technically you are not supporting the troops. I also think we have to blame politics for this. In our current political climate, when a veteran sees all those people kneeling, can we really say we're shocked that he got so upset? #InsertTheMostRecentPlaceWithA MassShootingStrong Could a unicorn outrun a Sasquatch?

It's a church. Seems like a nice one. I think they're probably OK with prayer quantity. It's a surplus of fired bullets they apparently needed help with. Any ideas? Because, like the old saying goes... Pray in one hand, raise the other in a futile, terrified attempt to protect yourself or your children from the gun of an ex military wife beater that's murdering 1/20th of your town's entire population, and see which hand goes cold first.

So, I guess this means it's okay to accept a bowl bid this year? Asking for a friend. -
If she's not coming to the reunion, it's because we haven't called her, or she hasn't called us.

This would be a reference to both the sitting president and our esteemed GMG political council's reaction to Charlottesville. This guy gets it. Really, I think this is just a breakdown of compromise. -

Don't they require a driver's license and proof of insurance to rent a truck? And don't you need a lot of test-passing, background-evaluating to get those two things? The appropriate thing to do when a maniac drives into a crowd of people isn't to make jokes about truck control. It's to condemn all of the violence on both sides. ON BOTH SIDES. -

I'm a tastemaker. An influencer. A barometer for bitterness. An anemometer for enthusiasm. When Cronkite lost me, he died of whatever killed him. 3-7 at a time, my man. 3-7 at a time. -

We suck again. Fire everyone. -
People will start showing up consistently when we make them regret, more often than not, missing the chance to see our games. I've been to one game in the past two seasons across all sports. I'm still paying attention, most of the time... But I'm probably not coming back for more than the occasional one-off unless and until I start feeling like I'm missing something. And that hasn't happened so far.

DRC: C-USA preseason polls released
TheTastyGreek replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Basketball
Vito doesn't just write articles for the people who know 99% of what's in them before they're even published. My dad lives in Denton, actually has a daily DMN subscription, and still asked me in June whether Benford was coming back for another year. Back when we fired Dickey, guys who work in sports media asked me why we'd fire a guy who had been so successful. The vast majority of the readership of the DRC probably has little to no day-to-day awareness of UNT sports, and context items like this (or Dodge's record, or the last time we had a player drafted into the NFL) are a large part of what makes news stories make sense to them. Vito isn't being a dick. He's doing his job so that his articles make sense and have context for an ignorant reader, or anyone that reads it online (or in a different Belo publication) can get at least a thumbnail sketch of what's going on beyond the immediate subject of the blog/article/story/headline. When you read everything he writes, some of it will seem redundant or repetitive. Probably the unpleasant reminders of specific shame, failure, and futility. -
Also, basketball early signing period starts in 13 days. The timing probably comes from him getting cold feet, new offers, academic issues, or who knows what else shortly before he'd have opportunity to sign an LOI here. Unless they've had a guy in their back pocket, which wouldn't make much sense... I assume this means the scholarship isn't filled until regular signing period in April 2018.

TheTastyGreek replied to KingDL1's topic in Mean Green Football
Frankly, I grade his fan performance out very high. Made a poor decision in a high leverage situation, but overall you have to keep it all in perspective and realize this is just one step on the road to @KingDL1 being a better fanbase husband and father. -
I'm excited we won. Fun night! But... Perspective?

I just hope nobody buying or selling UTSA-specific textbooks gets scared by the pop-up Mason Fine touchdown pass.

I hope those books have pictures so that future UTSA students can appreciate the history, too.
