This is the start of a CRITICAL 10 game stretch. And this one sets the tone for the rest of the year. Can we go out and take down the top RPI/OOC team in the conference? Or are we going to come up short against the 2 or 3 strongest teams in the league from here on out? Not to overstate the importance of this game... But if we can take this one, there's no need to write off the season yet. If we get beaten at home, there may not be much to look forward to other than freshman development.

FINALLY. This is the first time I've felt good about our chances in a while. If you'd started this bit up a month ago, Chris and Jordan would still be eligible.

It's one of those riddles. SPOILER ALERT: The doctor doing the surgery is the kid's mother.

Has to be one or the other, doesn't it? Showbiz Showdown? Guessing game for the rest of the forum? I want to try, but I don't want to overbid. And I just KNOW that CMJ will swoop in at the end and bid "1 year".

He definitely doesn't have they typical "Asian Pitcher" bust. That's for sure. -
Jurists, legal scholars, and members of the bar, take heed: When you run out of Holiday Inn stationary to file legal documents, get into a Lincoln/Douglas debate with the wise minds of GoMeanGreen. Harry will empanel a tribunal of 9 elders and they will rule on the claim after the verbal jousting and contests of physical strength. PROCEED.

Did I laugh? Yes. But that doesn't change the fact that you're worse than the September 11th terrorists. You've ruined the internet, sir. Apologiiiiiiize to Jesse Kramson. -

Check your PM. I have oodles of questions, and a fondness for double vowels to begin a word. I'm divided between fear and confusion. I call it... fearfusion. -

I don't understand these pop culture references or jokes. Stop ruining the internet, people. Show some respect for Hayden Fry. -

Golly, I sure hope Harry didn't intend for this to be a serious thread. -
Also, quality rebounders generally don't have a 1:15 offensive to defensive rebound ratio. We've missed about 650 shots in 19 games. We're a bad shooting team, we play a fast pace (more possessions and shots than most teams). Put our average back to 16 games, and that's 547 total missed shots. If he somehow played against us in every game, with 450 defensive rebounds... That would mean he personally caught and brought in 82% of everything we missed. If he can do that, every D-1 coach in America would be lined up outside his dorm holding Cam Newton and Reggie Bush sized checks. More likely, the guy has 30 offensive boards and 45 (not 450) on defense. 4.69 rebounds per game, not 30. When they correct that stat, Odoh will have the lead and a healthy leg up on everyone else.

2013 UNT prospect Will Early - West Mestransfere
TheTastyGreek replied to Harry's topic in UNT Football Recruiting
It's the westernmost school in the city of Mestransfere. Obviously. -
D1 basketball is full or nothing. D2 can do partials like D1 baseball does.

Who was bashing Tyler Hall? There are no partial scholarships in basketball.

Years of complaining = Mestransfere. Embrace your utopia, people. The internet is saved. I expect to be greeted as a liberator. -

Who is still a student in good standing at UT-Dallas, last I heard. I'll be pretty surprised if that guy doesn't end up with a college degree. -

Breaking news -- Chris Jones, Jordan Williams ineligible

If I were one of three people employed with the sole? primary? responsibility of my job being keeping basketball players eligible and in good academic standing... I'd think it was time to start polishing up the old resume. That's not saying anything about the full compliance team and tutoring staff. There ought to be some chewed up asses up and down the line on this. And I'm definitely not saying Jordan and Chris weren't responsible for their own grades. But if my ENTIRE JOB was to oversee the academic performance of basketball players, and two of them didn't even last past a semester... Well, I'd probably have some responsibility in the matter, wouldn't I? Chris and Jordan didn't do their job. Consequence- they don't get to play basketball anymore. And, if they don't get things in order quickly, they won't get to attend the University of North Texas for free anymore. Someone didn't do their job in overseeing their academic performance and guiding them through their first semester of college. What will the consequence be? -

Breaking news -- Chris Jones, Jordan Williams ineligible
TheTastyGreek replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Basketball
A lot of it depends on whether they put in the work to get eligible and stick around. If they do, this won't be much of an issue. If they don't and they wash out of school... 2 out of 13 is a huge hit to the APR. -

YES. These guys were our bright future yesterday. They're still at North Texas, and working to get eligible again next year. As painful and frustrating as this is, personal attacks or defaming of scholarship athletes will be dealt with aggressively and mercilessly.
