I have a signed 2003 team ball. This is my best piece as of right now. I am currently working on something very nice though, top secret.

I have an entire room dedicated to NT memorabillia, and I know that others out there do as well. I just wanted to see what everyone else out there deems there most coveted piece of NT history id. I am interested to see what is out there!

Nothing against 2A schools, but can you imagine what that kid is going to do in 2A football!!! That kid would kill against some of the best 5A programs, but 2A, he will put up records every night out!

If we lost all of the OOC games, but went undefeated in the belt, I would still be happy. In 2006 though, I would be very disappointed.

FCA Myrle Greathouse All-Star Classic Recap
BIG DAWG replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
I am not rolling over like anything! Also, if your going to imply it, go ahead and come out with it! Don't give me the, "..." crap. Be a man and say it! I wish people wpuldn't make those stupid mistakes, but I am not going to roll on them like Silver did. I have sent my fair share of e-mails, but I didn't show my ass when I did. He went over board, and there is a right way and a wrong way of doing things. He did it the wrong way. The best way to fix these problems is on the field! We are on our way, but until we get there, we are going to deal with little shit like this. Once again there is a wrong way, and a right way. -
FCA Myrle Greathouse All-Star Classic Recap

If that is what you said in your e-mail, you are a jackass! I hope the next person who catches you in a mistake rips you a new ass! They ran a correction, it was an honest mistake, you are the type of person who gives hard core fans a bad name! You sir, should be ashamed! You have hurt NT's image more than his damn article! -
I still cannot believe that they used Jamario for a promo on EA Sports! It is great, but com'on, could anyone really anticipate that! I mean you would think they would get someone like that chump from OU, but no, they did it right and got the best back in the country! That is some good ol' fashioned respect for the great NT! This is AWESOME!

No Buckles at Safety?

I was in Corpus from Wed-Sat., and two guys approached me on different days when they saw my Mean Green hat and shirt. One on Thursday was a guy who graduated with Mean Joe, and the other guy I ran into at the airport, he graduated in the early 80's. The first guy and I talked for a good 15-20 minutes. Good to talk Mean Green in other cities, especially those cities that are a ways out from Denton. Just wanted to pass the word.

Fantasy Baseball
BIG DAWG posted a topic in The Eagles Nest (There Should be Pie For Everyone Forum)
I am in GREAT need of some help. If you like to play fantasy baseball I need two people to round out my league. The league is being run by sportsline.com. The price is $9.99, paid by credit card. I know that no one here knows me personally, but this is a money league if you would like to get in on that part of it. IT IS NOT MANDATORY THAT YOU GET IN ON THIS PART! I am mainly in need of two players, or my league goes down the crapper. This league uses a LIVE Draft, that will be held Monday at 7:30pm. It is done on your computer. If you would like to get in on the money aspect, and trust me to keep your money, it is $20 thrown into the pot. When and how you pay can be dealt with at a later time. If you do choose to get in on the pot, here is the breakdown on the winnings: 1st place - $100 2nd place - $60 3rd place - $40 If you choose not to pay, you will be playing just for the fun of it all. THE ONLY THING I ASK, IS THAT IF YOU PLAY, YOU PLAY TO WIN, AND STAY IN FOR THE ENTIRE RIDE! That is really the only rule I ask you follow. If you are interested reply to this threas, and I will give you the information via e-mail SOMEONE PLEASE PLAY, HELP OUT A FELLOW MEAN GREENER, AND HAVE SOME FUN WITH AMERICAS USED TO BE PAST TIME, THE GREAT GAME. -

Actually lost my Jostens ring one time, how is a story for another day, but it only cost me $100 to get it replaced. It is a nice little policy they have, but don't tell you about. If it is lost or stolen, you have a one time only $100 replacement option.

stebo is RIGHT! You can not just swap your damn QB's all of the time. Chemistry and rhythm are at stake. Two very key components to any great offense. Is that not what we all want, a great offense to go with our great defense? You cannot have that with a revolving QB door! Name a starter and let the team rally around him. stebo was also right in the fact about competing for spots. You are all right, competition is a necessity in football, but did Kennedy, Spencer, Casey, etc have to compete for their spots every year? Don't tell me it is different with the QB situation either, because I see zero proof that the two QB's are even close. The argument is that Hall played against lesser competion than Smith, but did Smith not put up his same crappy numbers against the same Sunbelt competion in 2002?
-
Don't anyone forget about Meager. He will probably redshirt this season, and might find himself in the mix 2005. He was recruited by some pretty big schools before he broke his leg. Virginia Tech was one of the schools if I remember right
-
I don't mind competition, just as long as it is fair. If it is fair, Scott should run away with it right?
-
I do not think Ieans id the answer at all. They were trying him at receiver last year during the spring. We will see I guess
-
Is Andrew Smith ever the best option? What has he ever really done number wise? I know that he has that great winning percentage, but his numbers are horrible. All he had was a great defense, a great running game, and horrible passing stats
-
I read something in the Denton Record-Chronicle that I found to be very disturbing. I read that Scott Hall was having to compete for his starting position when practice starts this fall. What does Hall have to do? Will he always be competing for the job? After having a season that few UNT QB's could compare to, can we not throw the guy a bone in his senior season and come out and name him the starter? Heck, to top it all off, Andrew Smith really hasn't shown much number wise, except for his record, which was built on defense and running the ball. You will be hard pressed to find a UNT QB who can rival Hall's season last year, and he didn't even start the whole season.
