There is no reason to get a JUCO QB! Not at this school if we are to go the places we all want to go. We have a pool of young guys here to get the job done, it might just be shaky this year. DEVELOP A GUY THIS YEAR, THAT CAN LEAD YOU FOR 3 YEARS, 2006, 2007, 2008! Remember Scott's first year wasn't peaches and cream, but he gave us three solid years after. A JUCO is going to more than likely come in hear as a junior, have a rough first year learning the system, maybe have a better year than a fresh. out of HS, but only have one good year left. NOT WOORTH THE PAIN. TO HAVE A GREAT PROGRAM WE ARE GOING TO HAVE TO DEVELOP YOUNG GUYS.

I noticed that Phillips is a BIG guy, maybe that will keep a little bit more healthy than a certain other QB!?!? He is listed at the same height as said QB, but is 40 pounds heavier (220lbs) Maybe this is the direction we should go. I would love for Meager to play, no one has been a stronger advocate, but if he can't get in there and prove himself, he won't beat anyone out for that #1 spot. I will say this, if healthy, I believe he could do some things at this school that would blow us a way. I have talked with his coach at Richardson, Bobby Reyes, I almost took a job there, and I came away thinking that this guy has the POTENTIAL to be the best guy we have ever had at this school! We know what potential is all about though

I forgot about all of the "not prepared," "horrible playcalling," & my favorite of all "do something besides run the ball" comments. I just thought I would hear them later in the year. Like when LSU beats us like LSU should (by alot), and then everyone will call for Dickey's head, then Dickey will lead this team to a conference title, another bowl game, another COACH OF THE YEAR honor, then we will talk the rest of the year about OOC wins and our lack there of. What is going to make this year even sweeter, is that Dickey is going to do all of this with quite possibly a loss to the MUTS. LONG LIVE DD AND THE PLAYCALLING, AND RUNNING THE BALL MORE THAN EVER, AND PREPARATION! Be ready Mean Green fans, because we are going to run the hell out of the ball whether you like it or not. MORE THAN WE EVER HAVE BEFORE!

Does anyone know if we will being seeing Meager this Saturday in the scrimmage? This is the main reason I have been wanting to get out there and watch some practices, and especially the scrimmage. Does anyone know who has been looking good out there while Meager has been giving reps away?

Yes, how do you get one of these? Are season ticket holders supossed to get one?

KSU isn't going to be the same game as LSU. I compare the KSU game to the one we played in Colorado,we will put up a fight, hell we coupld possibly win, but we won't get destroyed. I know the final score against CU was ugly, but there was a good portion of that game that we were in it.

I just watched the Lions game this morning in its entirety on NFL Network. Booger played almost the entire second half. He looked good at times, and got blown off the ball other times. As a whole I think he played 100% better than he did when he plated with Denver in last years pre-season. He looked real good on the pass rush, almost getting a couple of sacks. Where he had his troubles was against the run. He didn't play horrible against the run, he just sometimes looked overmatched. Overall I think he looked 100% better than he did with Denver. I think if he conitinues to play like this, he could earn himself a roster spot.

Booger, Kassell, and Spencer were all in action tonight. Looks like Booger and Spencer had a tackle each, and Kassell had 4. Did anyone see them play? Especially Booger? I know Spencer and Kassell have spots on the Titans roster regardless of what happens for the most part

No one thought that Kassell would have over taken Rocky Calmus on the depth chart either. I can think of a ton of players that didn't make it at the pro level. I am not saying that Awasom is going to do it, but I Like you am not giving up hope.

I hope everything is OK, and he can move up that depth chart. Right now he is listed 2nd string behind Sirmon

Both without question great backs, but Jamario could be, if he stays healthy and all, a high round draft choice. That would be something that this school hasn't seen in a long time. Patrick will get a chance to play in the NFL, but he won't be drafted to play there

The greatness that was George Marshall. I haven't thought of him in a long time, but he did have some big plays for us in the Dickey Era

I had one dynasty on the 06 version that went 6 seasons without an invite, then I reset the dynasty for several reasons and started a new one. After one year in the Sunbelt I got a C-USA invite.

I would like to have all of those players back to, but it is if you could only have one. I did not pick one of the LBers because I think our LBers will actually be a strength this year, more than people think right now. While we are talking about D-Line help, what about Joe Greene? I want to hear about some oldies, bring 'em out people.

If you could bring one player back to play on our 2005 Mean Green team this season, who would it be and why? Personally, I would bring back Booger Kennedy. With our DL the way it is, it sure would be nice to count on the pressure and playmaking ability of ol' 92. That would sure up our line even with all of the rest of our youth. I would think of bringing back Scott Hall, but I think this is actually a GOOD year to break in a young QB with our current RB situation. I know some of you will think to bring back a better QB from years past, but I began my NT ride with Scott, so when I think of QB's I start with him Who is your player to bring back and why?

SouthBendGreen and several others that have his opinion could be more right on! I am glad people on this board, the minority, can understand what we are. We are a club climbing, but we are not where the majority of you think we are yet. Will we het there? HELL YES! Will we get there this season? No I think we may get there as early as 2006 though. I think that is the year to crack the surface, but it is a long process. You don't build a top 25 program overnight!

Same question with Thompson, I thought he came here with three years eligibility, but the NT website lists him as a senior to. Should he not be a RsJr. ?

His NT bio lists him as being a Senior this season, but I could have sworn that he was a redshirt junior for the upcoming season. Which one is he?
