Meager - 10-15 for 122 yds - NO INTS pretty good night for a freshman's first game Could have played better at times, but could have played a lot worse.

DD just stated in his post game interview that the carry issue will even out as the season goes on. This will not be all games are played as far as carries go.

I do not even want to talk about stupid helmets, pants, etc. All i want to discuss is a great football win

I know this more than likely would never happen, bu tI would hate to see J-Mo get pissed and play for someone else. He never redshirted here, and wouldn't lose any eligibility to go play somewhere else. Hate me, but it could happen

Huge game for Meager. He didn't light up the score board, but he didn't make mistakes, and they won the game. A very BIG conference game, on the road at that!

Just think what this game could do for Meager if he is to have a decent game? a good game? This could be GREAT! He has the ability. He wasn't highly touted without reason. Has he looked like a freshman at times? Yes. That is what he is. If he is successful at MTSU, and that doesn't mean 300 yds and 4 TD's, that is just make some plays, and don't turn the ball over, things could be really great for our program in the future. Why? Because his confidence could go through the roof if he can manage a victory in this type of game. I think the worst possible thing could be DD pulling him if he made some mistakes, and that is why I don't like the platoon system. No matter how a coach tells a player, when he gets pulled in a platoon system, I don't think it helps his confidence any. Let Meager be the guy, let him take his lumps, and let him be comfortable enough to carry us if need be in 2006. If he gets hurt, let Phillips see what he can do, but right now, they obviuosly saw something in Meager, let him be the man for a significant amount of time. ...and the answer is YES, i do know what the other side of the coin is!

No, you shouldn't have to think out what you are going to say, people just need to lighten up! Everyone here knows the severity of what happened, and feels the same way about this horrible situation. The other big wuestion is whether Meager will still be the startnig QB with another week to compare the two?????? One plus is that no one will get hurt that first week

Also says that both will play, maybe for a couple of weeks. Sounds that we will eventually in a couple of weeks have a QB that will be the man. Sounds like no platoon after both get some game experience. May the best man win. Sounds like it will be like 2003 when Hall and Smith sharred time until conference time came around then Hall won out for the rest of the season.
