  1. Offensively I think we will go as far as the QB and J-Mo will take us. If we cannot find a QB that can lead us, and/or J-Mo cannot stay healthy, we are in for more of what we got last year. Bright side: J-Mo stays healthy, plays every game, rushes for 2,000+ yds, and a QB, Meager, Phillips, or Woody, takes every snap and makes the routine plays, we will end up being very tough to beat in the New Orleans Bowl Dark Side: The opposite of the above happens, and we end up getting spanked by the Ponies, and we go 1-10 GO MEAN GREEN
  2. I forgot my eval - B+ heading into season, I think they could be really good on this side of the ball as the young corners get experience...or we could be in for a rough season if the young corners don't develop quickly enough. I don't htink any of the projected RS Fresh corners have ever played corner, I think they are all converted QB's.
  3. DE - Jeremiah Cahpman: Dependable/Worker DE - Willie Ransom - Definatley got better DT - Sky Pruitt: Rotation guy in my opinion DT - ??? - BIG hole; is the answer currently on the roster? Have to say no. OLB - Brandon Monroe: I really like the way he plays-personal opinion MLB - Derek Mendoza: Capable back-up in my opnion OLB - Maurice Holman: reminds me a little of Hurd (big shoes I know) CB - RS Freshman: Should be fast, but scares me CB - RS Freshman: See above SS - Steve Warren: Got much better as year went on; I think he is in a tough battle with Ray Loren of CCJC FS - Aaron Weathers - LOVE this guy; cannot wait to see him for 2 more years Comments/opinions???
  4. QB - Who the hell knows FB - Kerona Henderson? HB - J-Mo: Injury prone? WR - Johnny Quinn: Reliable WR - Brandon Jackson: Showed flashes TE - Charlie Brown: Blount? LT - Ajani Banks? RS Fresh LG - Trent Stanley: Haven't seen him C - Chad Rose: Got better as the year went on??? RG - Dylan Lineberry RT - Joel Foster/Jeremy Brown: Foster light/Brown was benched if I recall Opinions???
  5. All of you are crazy! Don't let the fact that Vince is no longer a Longhorn get you thinking for 2 seconds that we have a CHANCE at beating Texas. If you honestly think that we have a chance at beating Texas you are sadly mistaking! I mean seriously!
  6. Rivals has him listed as a 3 star - and he is a JUCO - he will not ba a true freshman
  7. He (BANKS) will start somewhere, either right tackle or left tackle. Brown was listed as a starter at the beginning of the season, but rode the bench quite often towards the end of the season. I think Banks probably starts there. Then again, with Foster only pushing 268, maybe Brown is your guy With Lineberry, Banks and this new recruit, we have some size now. I would say it shakes out the following: T - Banks 325 lbs G - Stanley 290 lbs C - Rose 285 lbs G - Lineberry 310 lbs T - Brown 299 lbs/Foster 268 lbs ... and then you can still throw in Venegas somewhere in there. Things I believe are definately looking up ladies and gents! GO MEEN GREEN!!!
  8. Are you saying that he is not coming back?
  9. Does anyone have any word whether or not he will be here for spring practice, or will he not ever be back with the team. Having him back would be like getting a big recruit to fill a HUGE hole at DT. He would be a SOPHOMORE next year correct?
  10. GREAT! Now we get the first pick in the high school draft!
  11. Not a chance. His draft status won't be that high next year, much less this year. Quinn will be a free agent just like Kassell, and just like I am afraid Cobbs will be. Don't fret however, this is still a way to the NFL, as kassell has proven.
  12. Although I do not think this will happen for Dickey, I almost want it to so the DD-haters will realize that life without DD will not be all peaches and cream. Rather than make that realization to you haters out there, I would rather keep him and laugh at all the ridiculous DD bashing.
  13. These kind of fans make me sick! When we are good again (next season) I don't want you to think about coming back.
  14. Not a bad night for our QB. He ran the ball well too.
  15. Something clicked in the second half against LaTech... UNT 38 ULL 13 Running game breaks loose for 250 Passing game breaks loose for 200 YES, 450 yda total offense
  16. Texas A&M has to win 2 of their next three, because the win against Texas St. does not count towards bowl eligibility since they are not D-1. Aggie fans can all ROT! You aren't going to win 2 of three!
  17. If either of these scenarios really panned out, people on this board would be in ab uproar. Things would be complete chaos, and more people would be calling for DD's head than ever before.
  18. That 3-step passing game really SOUNDED good last night. I just hope we can all SEE it at Fouts Saturday. I really think this may be something Meager likes. Maybe this is what his game is. I don't mind if he doesn't have the big arm, if we can get 6-8 yards on pass plays, that is enough to get safeties out of the box. NOTE: Georgio stated last night on the radio that Meager OVERTHREW several recievers, and that Ramon Flannigan said he has noticed that Meager is regaining confidence in that shoulder. WATCH OUT FOR THE MEAN GREEN IN THE LAST 4 GAMES, hopefully 5 (NO Bowl)
  19. Even better no season ending injuries. Cotton's might be bad, but that isn't a position where we lose a whole lot by inserting the back-up. GUYS WE ARE TURNING THE CORNER, AND COULDN'T BE DOING SO AT A BETTER TIME. People out there that are pissed about the score at LSU are ridiculous. There is no reason to believe that we could have done a whole lot better. I told some friends of mine that something clicked in the second half versus LaTech, and I think we saw more of it in the LSU game, and we will really see something Saturday at Fouts. GO MEAN GREEN!
  20. You guys c'mon, if you were listening to the radio post game, Hank said that they ran out of air time. It was already 10:30
  21. Believe me, I know several Aggie fans, and they are calling for his head. they are just as bad as alot of you guys.
  22. Guys, I live for NT football and I have dreaded this game all week. I know we are going to lose, but this loss will still get me all pissed off, and totally ruin my evening. My buddy says that I should just understand that we are going to get beat bad, and not let it bother me, and I should have that reasoning ability, but I just don't. What makes some of us not have the ability to understand that we are going to get hammered today, and NOT get pissed about it? Why can't I just handle the inevitable?
