Believe this...Dodge's offense will be a pass offense. He will run the ball, but his offensive philosophy is about throwing the rock. Do not think for a second that this is going to be a 50-50 offense. This is a pass offense.

Then he will sit the bench if he doesn't win the job, which I do not think he will.

I am hoping the J-Mo of old...that kid was really special. J-Mo of the last two seasons gets beat out by Cam

I am thinking this is a job that is as wide open as the QB position. I know that there are a lot of J-Mo backers out there, and I would love to see the freshman J-Mo come back, but the reality of the situation is, for what ever reason, he has not been good for 2 consecutive seasons. Some blame it on the line, the play calling, the system, BUT I have not see the burst I used to see and that has nothing to do with any reason previously listed. If Cam comes in here and lights the world on fire, be ready to see J-Mo in a 10 carry role. If he gets the opportunity to spell Cam that much. Just think...we all thought J-Mo would be a first day draft guy after his first season, now if he doesn't rebound in an HUGE way he may not get drafted or picked up at all. College football is a crazy world. I AM NOT TOSSING J-MO TO THE CURB. I HOPE HE REURNS TO GREATNESS...WE ARE AN AWESOME TEAM IF THE OLD J-MO COMES BACK! I just think if he doesn't we have a possible new stud in town.

People tend to forget for some reason that Meager has some wheels as well. He may not be as fast as WW, but the kid can still run pretty quick

...on that last thread, Woody is a strong candidate, but if he doesn't win the #1 spot look for him to switch positions. I don't think we will waste his abilities playing in a back-up QB role

He is the closest thing we have to the Statue of Liberty in these parts. He has a hell of a cannon, and has made some really nice throws, but do not think for one second he wins this job. He will not even be the #3 guy. Nothing against him, he could be a suitable QB in another system, but not Dodgeball. Sorry to all you Phillips guys out there...he is no longer a candidate. There will be some that post right after this screaming how I am wrong, but you wait and see when Spetember rolls around.

wanted to also say how surprised I was to see that Meager was ahead in the poll...I have always been a Meager guy, but this board has not. I think that says alot about the expectations we have for Dodge and his impact on our QB's These days are good days in NT land

I voted for Tune, but I believe that Meager could surprise and have a big year. I really feel that DD and staff really broke this kid. He was pretty highly touted coming out of HS, and to perform like he has I think really speaks to the coaching he has had. I really think it the only QB that doesn't have a chance is Phillips...the rest are all pretty equal I believe in their chances at winning the job. I am just so happy that we will have ONE QB. This makes our offense better before we take one snap in a game

I don't know if that is necessarily true, but I am pretty sure they get first dibs on those allotted to NT...someone will surely correct me if I am wrong on that one

I called the NT Ticket office and I heard they will be selling to season ticket holders in August for the OU game

This place is awesome...$65 a night and it is on campus literally across the street from the stadium. They have roughly 20 rooms still available. I am going to the season opener and have already booked a room. It is open to the public It is a required 2 night stay. We are going up Friday and coming back Sunday morning. For all of those that are going to Norman, get a room here and we can make MEAN GREEN HEADQUARTERS right on the OU campus. No driving, and drinking establishments are close by. Cheap, nice accomadations, right by the stadium, and close to everything else you would want to go to. the guy said that you need to get in ASAP the closer to the game rooms go fast...not many hotels in Norman regardless. Post here if you think you are interested...I want to see how many we can get to crash the campus

No on the stadium...he didn't talk aboutit that is. Me personally from how I have heard him talk about Vizza, he seems to be the front runner...He did say he would have the opportunity to compete for the #1 job. BUT the way he talks about this kid really makes me think that he is the guy. Schedule...that was going to be my next question, but I got scared to ask too many questions...I froze

Didn't sound to keen on the idea of TE's...he was trying to keep everything very PC as he should at that time. I think eveyone knew going in that we weren't going to hear a lot about the players. He was mainly going over what the offense was in philosophy, and where we are going

Back from the Town Hall Mtg... Got to sit by Buff64...haven't talked to him since fall scrimmages...we discussed the recruiting class Dodge came in and went over recruiting class, told a story about each recruit, some of which were similar to the press conference, others different. Met coaching staff, finally able to put a name to faces. Took as many questions as the crowd had to ask...which was only about 10-12 I would say. BIG DAWG asked a couple of questions...felt oddly intimidated for some reason, not normally like me to be that way. I guess it was being in the presence of greatness...Todd Dodge 1) If there were any players currently on the roster that he has already decided on a position change? Answer: No, not enough time to evaluate them yet - more towards spring ball 2) I also asked if the RB's would share the load similar to what we have been used to under the DD regime. Answer: He hadn't had that luxury in the past, but if he did have that luxury he could possibly take advantage of that Also saw the highlight film of the recruits playing in the background...really cool highlights by many of the recruits Beer, food, etc. Georgio was the mediator Finally got to meet Harry face to face, haven't had that opportunity since I have been on the board somehow. Got to thank him for all of the hard work he puts into this show...I know there are others and you are also on my list. Pretty cool all in all. To redeem my standing on this board for earlier comments made towards women's soccer...the last report on the blog was talking about softball team, and on the MGI there is a pretty good interview with the softball coach and the progress of the program. Now where the hell is Vizza

What the hell does this mean??? Is this meaning that we are competing for this kid? A recruiting day disaster?
