We have an interior D-Line coach...it is Drake We have a DE coach A CB coach A Safeties coach A LBers coach I don't know how you break that up any more to add any more coaches...seems plenty to me

If we don't sign Atkinsin, or another JUCO DT in his place, this recruiting class is a bust.

That is a very managable schedule for us. I wish we could have schedules like that one every year

Atkinson will more than likely not show up for some reason or another...this is not me being cynical, but simply reading into what the guyy has been saying himself...he is not ready to transfer (heard that story before) and he all but said any other BCS school offers him a scholly, he is going to leave...he is still planning on going on at least two more visits...MARK MY WORDS...HE WILL NOT BE IN MEAN GREEN COLORS, AND WE WILL BE WITHOUT ANY SIGNIFICANT UPGRADE AT THE DT POSITION. Call me what you will, but this is jsut the facts

As bad as things are going around here, I fear he turns out to be another Alonzo Horton, or this soft verbal turns into him jumping to the next BCS team that offers...I have a horrible feeling that we lose this guy somehow

Doesn't sound like Mr. Atkinson is a very sure bet at this point. He becomes even more shaky if he doesn't come at the semester break...seems he may jump at the first BCS school to offer him, and if he waits until February to sign, there will be more suitors. THIS IS VERY SCARY since we look to not be going after the Warren kid...I HAVE A HORRIBLE FEELING ABOUT OUR ABILITY TO KEEP THIS GUY...

Vito got himself quite a nice little dig in there about all the blow hards that give him a hard time about reporting the truth about the program without sugar coating it to make sure everyone feels all warm and fuzzy all the time...I got a solid chuckle out of it!

I feel horrible as a North Texas fan, but feel worse for the players because I cannot believe it humanly possible for them to be this bad...coaching is playing a part in this, and it a large part I feel at this point. I just don't think this staff is worth a crap. I am sorry if this is too strong for some, but the players on this team are not as bad as they look on the field...this coaching staff, minus a few proven coaches (Lefty, who has done the most with the least, and DeLoach who I believe is under used), is down right pathetic.

I guess the signing if the LBer ends Penson's days in the starting lineup...I really thought he was brought in here as the real deal???

Who is the JC LBer going to replace??? I am guessing they are not happy with Penson...I was of the thinking that Penson was pretty decent. I would still like to see more DL coming in this weekend

The last two years the attendance for this game after Turkey day has been horrible...I know last year the weather was horrible, but there was no excuse when PC had his senior day and there looked to be about 400 people in the stands

QB - Vizza RB - Montgomery G - Drake C - Johnson DE - Gilmore (he will be back at DE next year) LB - Nwigwe LB - Robertson CB - Bush S - Williams The rest is up in the air in my opinion. There are some players that are having decent years, but I think the rest of the position can be considered up for grabs going into next year! Any thoughts???

His name is still on the website roster, but he is not in the game day program. He hasn't even been mentioned since fall practice. Anyone know anything??? Gabe Hollivay is in the game day program, and he came at the same time...I was really hoping he could contribute once he got his weight in check. Any news is appreciated.

Yes, thank you all very much. I really didn't think this day would ever happen, and I haven't been around near as long as some. Can you imagine how we will all feel as we walk into that brand new grand stadium for that first game? Glory to the Green!!!
