A. I would have loved to see him get a QB by now too, but it would have been a miracle for him to pull in a top-notch QB in his first class because, w/ it being "the most important position" and all, it is hard to get in on the good ones late in the game. His second recruiting class, you have an argument, but sometimes you strike out. I would rather not sign one than sign two that eat a scholly and aren't worth a crap B. He is getting the "big bucks" to fix this issue, and I would argue he is doing just that. C. The QB situation may be fixed, see Berglund, but I won't declare that until he proves it on the field. Which from what i hear from people who are around the team, he will prove it.

I'm really surprised that some people have a hard time understanding why the offensive gameplan is what it is...the QB is horrible. I wouldn't call a whole lot of throws either if I had to deal w/ the inaccuracies of DT either! Even when he completes a pass it requires an acrobatic play by the reciever...with zero chance of RAC yards. If we tried to throw the ball more, you would just end up gassing your defense and letting the other team win the field position battle and grealy increase thir possessions because we do not have a QB capable of carrying the offense. Then people ask why hasn't Mac recruited one??? Answer: because he has been in need at almost every position...he's been restocking the whole roster...say what you will, but for the most part it's true. I know he should have already overhauled the roster since he's been here for 5 years...oh wait...he just finished his 2ND SEASON! Here are the roster issues I can THINK OF that he has had to deal with: DE DT OLB CB S FS OL HB TE WR and yes...QB Has he done it all? Hell no...has he been stock pilling? Hell yes... I'm just as pissed off that we didn't win more games, but this thing is heading in the right direction LAST POINT...the pick 6 killed us...not the play calling

No, it was long before I saw the highlights, but I get your point. My big thing with DT is that he has been constantly throwing off his back foot since he got here, and has never fixed it...what the hell?

I agree with Harry, but lets keep it to one wish...the most important addition or wish list item...makes it a little more difficult. Finding a punter will be huge though

Derek Thompson not only over throws, under throws, etc., but when he does hit guys, he does so in such a way that he leaves them no opportunities for RAC...drives me crazy. I want to know what his numbers would be w/out screens or swing passes??? HORRIBLE!

...real deal pass rusher! I want someone we can count on for 10+ sacks a season. We only have 17 for the whole defense this season, high man at 5. I would say QB, but I think we have one on the roster in Burgland. I know he hasn't done anything yet, but here is to hoping because DT ain't it. What do you fill in the blank with???

I saw Brock Berglund in a boot on the sideline yesterday...anyone know why? I also sat next to the Pflugerville QB Dajon Williams...no real comments b/c he was in street clothes, but he stayed the whole game w/ what I thought was his dad Anyone know what Berglund's injury is?

You are right, I'm just tired of all the doom and gloom...fire Mac, fire Chico, bad offense, etc. We're going to be ok

See SEC Recently read a post that said we couldn't win w/ a run-first offense...BS They referenced Boise of course, b/c that's who we have to replicate b/c we are a mid-major...REALLY tired of this This offense...when the QB isn't killing us...is pretty balanced...see our wins I would argue that he teams that are really good are not your spread teams...they are your teams that pay defense and can run the ball See SEC Give Mac some freaking time...not 10 years, but more than a season and a half

Just an open question, why the hell can't/won't WRs just finish routes anymore? Specifically on any route thrown downfield... I am so sick of WRs pulling up, turning around, or jumping unnecessarily...to make a routine catch difficult. If they would just continue the route...run through the catch...it wouldn't be as flashy, but there would be more completions...just sayin'

This all sums up what I posted on another thread...this game hurt because we all felt we could have won...and it has been a long time since we have played a top-15 team, and during the game, expected to win. I remember going to UT to watch us play during the bowl years, sacking Chris Simms 8 times, holding Cedric Benson under 50 yds rushing on like 2o carries, but we had ZERO offense b/c Scott Hall got hurt on like the 3rd play of the game, and true freshman Andrew Smith had to play in th first game of the season...not a good scenario My point being we are building a pretty good defense, but an offense that can score on ranked teams...this is something I have never seen, and I'm not the longest Mean Green follower, but I have been to nearly all home games since 1999...if this keeps going in this direction, and there is no reason to think it won't, we are all, young an old, in line to see something NO Mean Geen fan has ever seen

I'm not happy about the loss either, and I agree w/ everything Coach Mac said, but at the same time, when was the last time we played a top 15 team, and played like we belonged on the same field with them? It sucks that we lost because everyone felt like we could have won the game, and that hasn't been the case for a long time. The "good" I take from this game is that I truly believe again that we are getting REAL close to finishing some of the games! That gets me excited! Fill up Apogee Saturday and Go MEAN GREEN!

Where in the hell is Scott Hall??? He was WAYYYY more influential than J-Mo, regardless of Hall being the QB when our defense was great! Lets be serious here...I know I will take flack for this, but J-Mo had one real good year. I know injuries played a part in his career, but HOF??? Scott Hall HAS to be in this group...It is getting to a point of ridulousness! First time I have truly been disappointed in the athletic dept. I have been frustrated before, but this is that disappointment that hurts worse than that whippin' your dad didn't give you, he just told you, "I'm dissapointed in you."
