  1. Bowl projections mean nothing. The question is about the school’s philosophy; attendance vs. ez win vs. travel.
  2. Those are three different philosophies. Attendance/$ = one of the 3 DFW bowls. P5 Team = Independence bowl. Easiest win = New Orleans or New Mexico Bowl.
  3. They didn't "do us dirty" we feel apart against what turned out to be pretty decent NFL caliber player.
  4. All of the mid-majors projections are horrible. Journalist barely, put in the time to know the teams or conferences. And a lot of this is just done by made computer formulas. Where the CUSA teams play is more a question of philosophy, than record. The CUSA champ is probably going to be from the East and get the first pick of bowls. The question is will the conference (and that team) want to play in one of the CUSA bowls or a slot from another conference that is likely to open up. So UNT will likely have the 2nd pick and what's our philosophy? Biggest turn out vs. biggest name vs. best opportunity to win vs. coach's travel preference? We all know the bowl options; New Mexico, New Orleans, Armed Forces, Independence, Heart of Dallas, and Frisco. The question is which philosophy fits us?
  5. Mean Green by 90!
  6. ESPN Bahamas Bowl Thomas A. Robinson Stadium, Nassau, Bahamas Dec. 22, 12:30 p.m. (ESPN) Bonagura: North Texas vs. Ohio Hale: Akron vs. UT San Antonio Zaxby's Heart of Dallas Bowl Cotton Bowl, Dallas Dec. 26, 1:30 p.m. (ESPN) Bonagura: Colorado vs. Texas Tech Hale: Colorado vs. North Texas http://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/21208979/week-9-college-football-bowl-projections-2017 I think we'll end up at the game in Frisco.
  7. Official Attendance: Attendance: 18,872 On a cold, windy day. Against a no name team. Maybe the sky isn't falling.
  8. Maybe this can be a real rivalry after all.
  9. it would be nice if the prediction sites accounted for changes in bowl tie-ins.
  10. http://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/21023525/army-picks-win-second-season-completing-pass
  11. I thought the top mid-major got the BCS bowl in Atlanta this season?
  12. I don't see it shaking out that way. We're at mid-season and every team can't go on a run.
  13. I'm more interested in UNT 14, Iowa 10 at the half!
  14. But the sky is falling and we didn't go 2-0 like we always do.
  15. Let's be honest for a lot of people tailgating is really what college football is all about. I saw a lot of things I liked yesterday and definitely some ideas we can borrow at UNT?
  16. We'll do better in conference play. The offense has some zip. Run D was solid.
  17. Yawn. The game got out of hand, pretty fast, you can't flame the fans for tuning out. if anything our culture is strong. UNT had a great turn out for the game. SMU's student section was embarrassing. They can't get the kids past mid-blvd, let alone into the stadium.
  18. We're going bowling
  19. "The sky is falling! Fire everyone! Sell the stadium, close the doors. If they don't do everything I want, exactly the way I want it, all is lost."
  20. I hope UAB's return will help mix up the schedule. It would be nice to split up our in state games .
  21. Do the players get to keep the VCRs? Thank you. I'll be here all week, please tip your waitresses.
  22. The NCAA already limits the number of coaches school may have, I don't see them stepping to limiting number of support staff. One reason is the Universities can hide the staff in other budgets, like student services, housing, facilities, A/V, or even stats. As far as the States stepping in. If the State of Louisiana was serious about costs it would do something about the number of college systems and teams in the state. Louisiana has a population the size of Houston, yet it has 5 D1 teams.
  23. 1. Don't speak ill of the dead 2. QB for a winning, conference championship season 3 Bowl win.
