Let's win out then worry about tie-breaking rules. I'm pretty sure NT would get the bid because of the head-to-head win. I think the Bowl only gets to pick if the conference champ has a loosing record, that was the rule adjustment made after the 2001 season.

Troy's loss puts the conference title back on the table. It may not be the best thing for the rest of the Belt, but a 5th conference win would be good for us.

UNT is not part of the permanet univerity fund, get over it. Its not going to change, there is no political momentum for it to change so why piss and moan about it? If you want to complain about our state government why don't you start with the state constitution?

It’s a bad idea to support the team because you expect to get a better conference out of it, because that might not happen. Support the team because you like North Texas college football. Too many people on this board have unrealistic expectations about this program. The coaches need to worry about regrouping and having a winning season. The athletic dept. needs to worry about keeping up with SMU, Baylor, Tulsa, LA Tech, TCU, and the rest of the Belt. Fans need to worry about getting to the game on time.

How would a big coaching change at the end of the season help the program? Are we really to the point as a program that we can say win the conference or your out? It seems to be these unrealistic expectations can only hurt the program. Sure the OOC record blows, but when was this golden era of North Texas football when we were winning conference games and OOC games? People on this board need to dial back in to reality.

If you won the Belt again this year it would be good for us, bad for the rest of the conference. It always good to win your conference. In no way does winning the conference hurt UNT. However if UNT pulls it out/the Troy-ASU blows it, it would be a bad move for the overall conference. It makes the rest of the conference look like a bunch of schools that don't belong in D1 because they can't keep up with UNT, who can't keep up with anyone else.

I'm just saying this is his 2nd or 3rd career TD, and everybody has been screaming for a way to get Cobbs and Thomas both in the backfeild.

After all we've been doing it for 6 years and the fan base is still growing. Do we need better recruiters? Probably. Have we been able to make up for assistant coach turn over? No. Are these things the responsibility of the fan base? No. Its our job to go to the games, and give money.
