  1. Funny how the Dodge apologist don't have any facts to support their claims. The green kool aide is poison to this program.
  2. High scoring = no defense
  3. Notice the only teams we beat have been on the Bottom Ten list all season. WKY is the worst team in D1. And even with the that win the Dodge Era is still the worst in school history.
  4. The win kept RV from firing Dodge on the spot. Tied after 3 quarters with the #120 team.
  5. No it wasn't. It was one more baseless complaint. What is the standard for a "great college town"? What tangible element is Denton missing. Because if you look at tangible things like population, demographics, bars per capita, public transportation, Denton has it. Denton ranks high on the creative class scale, which measures all the things one would include in a great college town.
  6. The glass neophyte is amazing against the worst teams in the country. Running a offense that requires nine wide outs is best, because you'll never need any defensive recruits. The kid should be on the bench behind Vissa.
  7. Has the high school coach recruited a defensive player?
  8. This was a meaningless win. We beat the #120 team in D1 and it took us 4 quarters to do it. The worst team in the country hung 49 points on us in 3 quarters.
  9. What's the standard for a great college town again?
  10. Don't let the facts get in the way of your rant. The square is covered in schedules the start of each season.
  11. Can't we just pass out miller lite and green jello shots?
  12. Huh? What's the standard to being a great "college town"? Denton ranks pretty high on the "creative class" scale which measures all the tangible things you consider to be a great college town.
  13. hahahahahahahaha!!! If you really believe that no wonder you think Dodge is a good coach.
  14. I'll settle for a hug. Um, why is this about me? I don't give to the school because I don't agree with their coaching choice. I suggest we set up new coaching fund so I can give back to the school in a productive sense. Once Dodge is gone I'll go back to giving to the school. I'll probably even start with a contribution to the stadium fund.
  15. But that's not what secret inside sources say in the PMs
  16. No we deserve Dodge. This is the same ungrateful message board that hated on Dickey through four straight conference titles. This is the team that fired a guy a week after a heart attack because two straight loosing seasons were unacceptable.
  17. I don't believe that it is the stated goal of the program to have 4-5 next season. And you don't need a secret inside source to know that the AD expects the team to be competitive this season, meaning no more record blow outs.
  18. A win over winless Western Kentucky is not big. This is a must win game. Dodge's job is on the line.
  19. Sad? 5 x enrollment seems pretty good. Things like stadium capacity also seem pretty important before you call out another team's fan base.
  20. So? Why do the 90's prove Dodge should get one more year? Dodge is quickly reaching the point that even if we wins out, its still the worst coaching era in school history. The ship is sunk.
  21. Non-arguments all the way around. 1. A new coaching fund would get the administration and coaches attention. -the fund isn't a buy out fund, its a signing bonus of a new coach 2. Giving to the stadium fund or volleyball entrenches the current unacceptable coaching situation. -one of the reasons DD was booted was he didn't rally the fan base and significantly increase giving to the program. Now back to the original question, what can we do to set up a new coaching fund?
  22. In all fairness Dodge should get until the end of the season. Then RV should ask himself if these improvement are the sign of a team coming together or a coach just figuring out FBS football. If Dodge does come back he should be on absolute notice; your out with the sixth loss of the season. P.S. It was weak to remove by earlier post.
  23. Why have with held donations to the school? Because I think the Head Coach is a disaster, and money is the only thing that gets the administration's attention. I also love all the sniping and bashes on me about sitting on my wallet, but the board goes silent when the moderator say's he did the same thing. ( A new coach fund would be a constructive way for disenfranchised fans to contribute; instead of having donations dwindle or a site like firedodge.com or flying a banner over a home game. When people started grumbling about Dickey, I said we should have a new coaching fund so people could put their money where there mouth is. I think its time we do this for Dodge.
  24. Because he's a fan, just not a stupid fan. Dodge's hasn't given us anything to support. I didn't approve of firing Dickey, so I with held support until I saw what Dodge could do. I haven't started giving again, and I won't until Dodge is gone.
  25. and maybe... and what if... Dodge screwed up by getting rid of everyone from the last coaching staff and doesn't have the connections to get good college assistant. Dickey hired a nobody former Alabama QB, LSU grad assistant that turned out to be ok, who did Dodge bring in? And if this "no money" theory was right, Dodge could have schedule an extra pay-day game like DD used to.
