So how does proving the metroplex doesn't care about college football mean UNT will some how dominate the local sports world? Look I'm fire up about the new coach and new stadium, but there is no reason for this type of kool-aide.

Let's be adults for a minute. 1. SMU to the Big 12 is an economic gain for Dallas. At the very least it means more hotel nights sold. 2. SMU to the Big 12 means there is an opening in CUSA for another DFW area team.

The WAC is far away, unstable, and about to have dramatically lower payouts. A 12 teams SBC beats any possible WAC re-alignment option.

Then the coach made adjustments and the bleeding stopped, but he's couldn't work a miracle and overcome the 28 point deficit.

Tim love is pretty family oriented guy. I see him and his family at the West 7th location all the time. Probably wouldn't have a problem with you keeping your seat or hanging out at the bar.

The back QB is always the most popular guy on campus. Thompson was slow getting the ball off, we should work on that.

I don't think that is an accurate description of our Dickey era success. We won the early Belt with "stealth" recruits who weren't on other teams radars. We had a steady QB in Scott Hall and a group of undergrad D-players that got to start for 3 years. Dickey didn't get passed by because the rest of the Belt started recruiting better picks. DD got passed by because he didn't adapt and upgrade his coaching staff and recruiting techniques.

As ugly as tonight was it was an improvement over Dodge Ball. D came up with 16 points. 5 penalties for less than 50 yards is a huge improve over Dodge and Dickey. Team was still trying on the last down. QB just needs to get the ball off quicker.

If the SEC goes to 16 and all the dominoes start to fall in the Big 12, ACC then the Big East and CUSA. It will be CUSA that goes away not the Big 12.

What's not to get. If the SEC goes to 16 they get to rebid their tv contracts. If ESPN is willing to pay $30 million for just Texas what do you think SEC in expanded markets like Houston and St. Louis with nationally recognized Florida State would be worth? The Big 12 wasn't looking at markets they were already in (Houston & DFW) but that was before the Long Horn Network and the possibility of losing A&M and Mizzou to the SEC. The real question is not if Houston get's into the Big 12 and does a spot open up in CUSA. The question is will there be a CUSA after the Big 12, ACC, and Big East finish their raids?

CFN/Fiutak's realignment theory is bad. It has conferences going to 14 and not 16. If the SEC only goes to 14 adding A&M and FSU, then the Big Ten doesn't have to expand. If the SEC does go to 16, I'm not sure why Mizzou & Clemson get in over Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.

A&M to the SEC looks like its going to happen. Now the rumors have gone from Florida State as SEC #13 to Clemson as SEC #15 and Mizzou as SEC #16. This lets the SEC move from a conference to an association. The question then becomes not who does the Big 12(minus 4) and the ACC(minus 2)raid for replacements, but does any other conference like the Big Ten make the jump to 16 and create a bigger mess. Which leads to the real question of how do you think the dominoes fall fall for UNT and the Sun Belt?
