We averaged 17k last season, we're doing better than that this season. Folks on here need to calm down and get some perspective. I'm tired of hearing "I'm a fan, that's short for fanatic" when it comes to discussing real numbers. This team is better than anything Dodge gave us.

Really, were talking about an fcs team that just beat something called minot state to get to 4-6? UNT will finish in the middle of the Belt, losing to the top half of the conference, but beating the bottom half. There are no bad losses on the schedule, every team we've lost to is bowl eligible.

We were predicted to go 4-8 this season, so what expectations are you talking about?

Can anyone post our historic attendance averages (or a link to them)? I'm curious to compare our current attendance record against a few things like other Head Coach's first year, our SBC glory days, our so called SLC glory days.

The SBC is having its best season ever, so why are we hating on the Belt? Every conference has outliers, once the SBC gets to 12 we would only see the Hill Toppers every other year and have them visit once every four. SMU played Navy last week and only pulled 21k,is CUSA to blame? The ponies had a nice stadium, better conference, winning record, and name opponent and that's the best they could do.

The interesting questions is what will the Big East divisions be if they add BYU. Would they really spit up Lville and Cincy into different divsion. Big East (West) BYU, Boise State, Air Force, SMU, Houston, Louisville (East) Navy, UCF, USF, UConn, Rutgers, Cincy

I like that the "on the CUSA radar" quote is from the same article that said the CUSA "short list" with UTSA included nine other schools.

Aren't the invites conditional? Big East offered conditional invites to UCF, Houston, SMU based on Boise accepting a football only bid. Boise won't come without a western division.

The hold seems to be West Virgina's exit. If WVA wins its lawsuit and exits early, then the Big East will pull the trigger, and get what the they can. If WVA has to wait, then the Big East will have time to work on BYU and Army. My guess we won't know anything on West Virgina until January and the CUSA replacements until the Spring.

This is "old" news. The realignment theory is based on what the Big East was trying to do before they lost West Virgina. The Big East wanted Army & Navy first, but Army says they don't want to be in a conference, which is what is keeping Navy on the fence. Any theory that has Army coming along as second thought fill in, doesn't understand their situation. Yes the 12th spot in CUSA was between UTEP vs. UNT vs. LA Tach. Yes UNT has done more to improve their overall program since then, but that doesn't mean that will be the same criteria CUSA is looking at for future expansion. There still one great unknown...if the NCAA will allow 16+ team associations to have multiple post-season games. If the NCAA says yes, CUSA & the MWC will want to get to 12 each to have a semi-final championship bracket. If NCAA says no, it makes sense for each "division" to stay at 10 each.

I'm starting to see why other fan bases don't like. There are UNT "fans" allover the internet complaining about the game. All reasonable projections had this team with 3-5 wins. UL-L just earned their first bowl bid ever, why the hate?

I don't get it, why does Air Force want to be in a East Coast conference without Army & Navy?

No! Never! Die, thread Die! The WAC is a dumpster fire that should be avoided at all costs. There is a reason the 16 team WAC & Big West failed. A WAC + SBC merger or even a MAC + SBC merger would not qualify for AQ status, so why ruin your conference. Go to CUSA or have the SBC go to 12, but don't go to Idaho.

Eventually we should try to schedule every team in Texas on a regular basis, but for right now we should avoid WAC schools like UTSA, TXST, LA Tech, and NMSU. I know CUSA/MWC is goal number 1, but if we can't do that we should build the Belt. And we don't help the Belt by playing those schools. Let those schools stay isolated, and waste their budgets traveling across the country. Let those schools have to play body-bag games because their conference does nothing for them. We need two to get to twelve, and any of those four would work. Don't put money in their pocket until they are ready to be in the 12 team Sun Belt.
