My fear is this move is not to replace us, but one of the Florida schools. It does make sense that the SBC presidents decided Georgia State is the top expansion candidate, so go head and add them now. But it does make you wonder who they have in mind for the 12th spot.

If the MWC/CUSA merger doesn't add anymore teams and with Georgia State coming to the Sun Belt, Who would you like to see as the 12th SBC football member?

This is bad news for another reason. If the MWC side of the merger is really adding Utah State, then it means UTEP might not be moving over. If the SBC is adding another eastern team is it to replace a departing FIU? These types of moves to bode well for UNT getting into the merger.

As I learn from the other thread, the problem with the wing zone is the Sonic.

We need to hear from someone who had family pass/wing zone season tickets last season. What kind of pizza did they serve and was it any good?

Family's don't shell out $500 bucks either, they buy the family pass for $400 bucks that comes with a pizza every game. Which brings me to a more important question, has any tried the pizza? I can't believe with as many uniform threads as we do, no one has taken the time to debate the merits of stadium food.

Yawn. Casual fans don't buy season tickets. College football's core audience is students and season ticket holders.

Anybody else notice this guy's the only saying no merger? While every other new sources says the full merger announcement is a month away pending the NCAA allowing semi-final conference playoffs.

What's taking so long on the season ticket renewals? You'd figured with the Merger announcement a month out the Administration would be trying to show what a strong candidate we are by getting some renewals?

The article said 16-20 teams. The SA Express article (http://blog.mysanantonio.com/utsa/2012/03/your-daily-re-alignment-speculation/) makes a better case of Utah State, San Jose State, UNT, LA Tech, and FIU as the tier one expansion candidates. UTSA, WKY, MTSU and Ohio are second tier candidates.

I was wrong. But I question the move. Why invest in a game where attendance doesn't matter? Why not save something like this for the regular season?

Let's stop this lie. This has nothing to do with band or genre of music. There is not going to be a concert for the spring game. 1. We've never done this before. 2. We don't need to do it now. Why waste money driving up attendance for something that doesn't matter. 3. It ain't on anybody schedule not UNT's not the bands. What does surprise marketing get anyone.

I forget the exact payouts, but it basically breaks down like this; SEC is the top autobid payout, the Big East is the lowest autobid payout and makes 1/2 of what the SEC gets. The MWC is the highest paying mid-major, but only gets half of the what the Big East payout.
