  1. Yes, we can go bowling. Bye week gives us extra time to Get ready for an improved MUTS team we destroyed last year. USA is a win. That means we need to win just one against AState, Monroe, or WKY. There is the right number of bowl suspensions that every team with a winning record should go to a bowl. In fact if CUSA continues to implode they might even be one bowl team short this year.
  2. All this talk of sitters, am I the only one who brings their kid to the game?
  3. I'm bringing some firsttimers to the game and I'm trying to get a feel for the tailgatting situation on Tuesday. 1. Does anyone know if the Bud/Miller tailgate areas are going to be at Tuesday's game? 2. Do you plan to change your tailgating routine because of the new bridge? Fouts vs the Hill vs Stadium lots.
  4. 24ESPN2
  5. So is the walking bridge from Fouts ready?
  6. I predict... We win. I don't go to games hoping we lose, but keep it close. I also won't get my feelings hurt if we do lose. One, it's just a game. Two, were playing a team that won their bowl game last year. I also predict I'll leave early. Tuesday is a crappy day for football.
  7. I'm not sure special team rankings matter...ever. The rest of the measues are all relative to the competion and only matter at the end of the season. Last year we had no bad losses (losses to teams with losing records. Every team we were head of in the SBC we beat, every team that was ahead of us,beat us. This season will probably be the same. The team has improved, but so has the competition. So relative measures like these aren't going to tell us much about the team.
  8. Let's take this thread a different direction. I'm bringing 6 to the game,
  9. Have you ever attended another sporting event just to walk over a foot bridge?
  10. And all this time I thought is was ACC South
  11. What are you talking about? Mac is the first coach to come out and saying losing isn't acceptable and they guys are undersized. And TD's last attempt at recruiting JUCOs is part of our problem.
  12. A win over Houston would have been awesome. It would have meant... back-to back years with OOC wins, revenge over a team who won the first game at Appogee, a shot at a bowl game, that the rebuilding was going faster than we thought, that we are better than we are.
  13. Or what? We lose to a team we are projected to lose to. A team everyone has at the top of our conference. A team that won a bowl game last year. Let's stop the over dramatic BS.
  14. The only thing worse than the game is the doom and gloom on the board. Really y'all are writing next season after losing A game we were predicted to lose?
  15. No guts? The guy goes for it on 4th almost too much. I'd wished we'd open with Houston too, but that's no reason be an idiot and turn on the coach.
  16. The transitive theory of wins doesn't apply in football. Different day, different team, different game.
  17. Yes, Mac is a good coach. And he was better than the other candidates. The Belt is having an up year, so our expectations might be out of touch with what's really going on. A lot of experts had this team going 5-6, but noting we'd be a better team facing a harder schedule. So far our record is exactly as predicted by the major outlets.
  18. Attendance is going to suck because of the crappy Tuesday time slot.
  19. Houston scored on their first three positions, it's not going to be a good night.
  20. What? Why would 30K justify expanding to 50K when Apogee can handle 30k.
  21. I'm on record for baby oiled bounce houses.
  22. good thing ULM plays MTSU and WKY plays Ark ST next week. Those games should tell us alot about the conference.
  23. No, we are going to beat USA, but every game the rest of the season is going to be a toss up.
  24. I can tell you what's wrong with a color game. 1. It's not a unique idea that's going to generate excitement among the three fan bases. 2. It's not our color. 3. School pride, wearing green on Fridays and to the games is on an uptick and a color game could set that back. 4. It took you 5 paragraphs to come up with the same idea as a JV cheerleader
  25. The article misses the big picture. Yes, CUSA is having a down year and the SBC is having it's best year. The problem with that argument is we know what the SUn Belt is, we've lived it for 12 years. There's a reason CUSA has more bowls with better payouts. The new CUSA has a huge upside. The western division is perfect for UNT, with nearly every away game closer than the nearest SBC school. Travel savings across the board, increased attendance from the other school, and playing more known schools. From the academic perspective the author wrote about, tell me which names sound better; Rice and Tulane or Arkansas State and 'Funroe? Staying in the Belt won't get us into the Big 12 where the author thinks we can go.
