The same projection put Texas in the Heart of Dallas Bowl against UTSA. If UT goes to a bowl, they don't want Navy. If UT goes to a bowl, we could be their preferred dance partner.
-
Hawaii won last night. The APR picks will go past UNT. Texas may even decline, because of the coaching situation, and push it down one more APR slot. #GoodGradesMatter

Hawaii over UMass Open Bowl Slots: 5 (ESPN says its 6) Bubble Teams: Army, USA (ULL - has two fcs wins, but they made ESPN's list too) Bottom Line: UNT is going Bowling and won't be the lowest rated APR team.
-
Vandy over Tenn (wow, what an upset!) Open Bowl Slots: 6 Bubble Teams: 4 (Hawaii, Army USA, ULL) APR: UNT moves up to slot #2 behind Army
-
UTSA over Charlotte Open Bowl Slots: 7 Bubble Teams: 4 CUSA get's it 6th bowl eligible team.

I thought we had a rule to lock any thread with three or more RF references.

The Nova Home Loan Arizona Bowl, in Tucson, AZ is on Dec. 30 vs. a MWC or SBC. 15 extra practices spread over the month of December. Might be exactly what this team needs. 13.5 hour drive from Denton.

Thanks to John Williams and Co. for hosting the broadcast today. It's great to see a local business stepping up to support the team and give the fans a place to be fans.

Seth Littrell may be candidate for open Houston job
shaft replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Since the Big 12 did not expand expect to see Houston cut back on expenses. Houston will avoid any buyouts. They were investing to make the B12, that not on the table any more.- 81 replies

It's OFFICIAL -- We ARE Going Bowling...Just not sure where...
shaft replied to EagleGreen's topic in Mean Green Football
I think CUSA is going to end up swapping bowls slots. The ACC & Big 12 might have an extra bowl slot, PAC 12 might need an extra slot. CUSA could offer up the Hawaii Bowl to PAC 12 to get a better regional bowl.- 19 replies

Does Conference Realignment Work Out for Teams?
shaft replied to Mike Jackson's topic in Mean Green Football
Your opinion is wrong. -
It's a negotiation between the Bowl, Conferences, Network, and Teams. Since ESPN owns certain bowls, the Network has a lot more say in certain bowls.
-
We're getting close. Beat UTEP and we're in, there is no longer any doomsday scernairo. Unfilled Bowl Slots: 12 Bubble (5 win) Teams: 11 Watch List (Can still make a bowl) Teams: 2 (Duke, ULL) APR Order: Duke, Northwestern, Vandy, Army, UNT

Secret sources aside, there wasn't even a mathematically possible APR bowl slot until AZ beat ASU.- 19 replies

Does Conference Realignment Work Out for Teams?
shaft replied to Mike Jackson's topic in Mean Green Football
No, our move to CUSA from the Sun Belt was a step up. More exposure, ,more revenue, more bowl access. -
Which rules are unlikely to change in the foreseeable future?

Constitutional Carry could redefine the Run & Shoot. -
This probably bumps us out of the New Orleans Bowl. Looking more like Bahamas or Hawaii for us.
-
Almost. We would still need Duke, Army and one more bubble team other than Northwestern to lose. We also have to keep an eye on UL-L who can still become bowl eligible. We're really close, but were not the mathematically impossible space to keep us out.
-
Southern Miss over LA Tech Bowl Slots: 12 Bubble Teams: 12 Magic Number. Wins - 1 or Losses - 7 USM becomes CUSA's 5th bowl eligible team.
-
TCU over Texas Bowl Slots: 13 Bubble Teams: 13 Magic Number. Wins - 1 or Losses - 7
