Not sure why some found this poll confusing. I went with 3. 6 would be unattainable, unless every Sun team is over rated. 4 or 5, that I think we can reach if win the first 2 games of the season. If we go 1-1, 3 wins max.

One question that needs to be asked is why, UNT, TCU, SMU, and Baylor do not play every year.

Well in the case its easy to calculate, but what happens when its 65-17, like a normal game. I need the 6.5 estimates. I also have to say one of my biggest pet peeves of irritation is when people at the UNT game cheer louder when they announce the score to another game being played, than our own. Its great to know USC lost to Stanford, but does it really need to be cheered about at the game. Wait, I may have just talked myself out of my pet peeve.

Pretty soon, I think smalls schools are going to realize that while playing the SEC and Big 12 helps keep the lights on, playing too many big schools at the beginning of season will prevent them from ever reaching a bowl. Can't win six, when your players are hurt or lose heart after a 76-3 whooping.

Not much on UNT. Least you could see our helmet. The other states with Sun Belt schools got shafted all together. No mention of Troy, Ark state or Middle Tenn, when they were up.

I think this notion is slowly changing. While back in the day, for a small team to beat a big school, it was a big deal for the big team and fans only, I see more and more people watching for small schools to upset. This could give them leverage to argue a play off system. I have family who went to TCU and while the fan base does not show it, they are just as passionate about football at the next team. Not to mention take a stroll down to SMU, you would think every year they were going to play for the national championship. So while it appears the College Football fans do not care about the smaller schools, I think it is the media. And again this is only speculation, but then again Fox Sports Southwest refers to UNT as Northern Texas State University. ( This was said, durning the 2006 Texas game.)

The good news about the article is that they also highlighted Cam Montgomery. Hopefully, the teams we play will over look him, and we can catch Ball State and Ohio off guard. I am a little surprised on the 4 win season from them. While I hope it is better than a 4 win year, I have to question if we Beat ULA-Laf and WKU, who are the two non-conf teams we beat?

Who cares how cheap it cost to build the stadium or namesakes if we don't act now, and try to build support to keep people in stands. I think it is great we are concerned about the layout of the stadium, but how about we layout an blueprint for bringing more fans to the game.

I would like to miss UNT in the Belt. Remembering NMSTU, Idaho, heck even playing Baylor or Texas Tech gets me more excited than Both FAU/FIU or MTSU. No offense to the belt, I just don't feel the tradition with these guys.
