I first saw it when UH played Kansas at the Fort Worth Bowl. I thought it was a joke, there was an old couple in front of me throwing up the sign. I had to ask them what it meant. Luckily it was a U and H.

For LANCE sake I hope we do better than 4 wins. It will help UNT the higher he goes in the draft should he go. The first home game will tell it all. Now this is just my view but I think we will handle FIU becuase of the excitement of the new coach and what we have to work with as far different plays and throwing vs quick outs on 3rd downs. The Next game will be the true test. Can't wait.

Good Point

The MWC banking their future on teams leaving the conf is not a wise decision. Even more so, to give the MWC a BCS bowl berth based on teams no longer in the conf does not make a bit of sense. All this would do is create a Florida State of the old ACC in the MWC. I guess if it passed Boise will be in a BCS bowl every year from here on out.

The Navy game of 07' will always be the best home game of recent years for me. My Grandfather was in the Navy and it was a fun way for us to kind of "talk smack" that day in November. The record setting day was an extra benefit. I have to add this was a toss up. The SMU game in 06' was great as well. I wish Woody Wilson had developed into something big.

I cant believe the draft is already this Sunday. I think the draft will be just as fun as the game itself. "Well, I mean, whats not to like?" (Nick Gilbert) Anyway, hope everyone can attend the draft watching party online.

I love all attention to detail and the programs new view towards social media. A cool modern website will catch the eye of plenty of visitors.

The WAC not expanding will be a big deal. Granted we didn't join, but teams losing any kind of contracts with TV, or missing out on chances to play bigger D1 schools will hurt the WAC(teams) athletic budget. Grow, shrink, or stay the same if your not a big time school your falling backwards.

I think the players should decide. Bring in new uniforms, new attitude, and then bring in the wins,

Trial and Error is among us in College Football. The NCAA is looking for teams that will generate money. Teams that have descent attendants and followings in the 1aa will be getting a shot at the big time. Teams like Nevada who are struggling with money might fall to a lower conf in the next coming years.

My wife and I will be attending. Flying in Wed night. My brother goes to FIU so I hope to get some bragging rights.

Yesterday was just for the fans. They did a few fun things, but I am not walking away thinking the players were tired and we didn't improve practice from last year. Even if someone says the guys played at 50% I still enjoyed it.

Nevada is just the first school of the season to announce budget cuts. LA Tech was the team last year, another team will report problems next year. Until the travel costs get better get ready for troubled athletic departments.
