Thank you posting this. I have been planing a wedding based off of guesses about who or where UNT might be playing. But to keep it football related, how about that Arkansas State in OCT. There is a fun change.

Your idea of being chased by the marketing team came at the right time. For years, UNT's idea of marketing was to go after regular donors and ask for great amounts of money to support a cause. Now they are trying this new philosophy that a bunch of donors donating a smaller amount of money can be just as effective. Having said this, I believe the marketing team will be doing a lot ensure seats will be filled for the 2010 season, to grandfather those individuals into the new stadium (2011). In order to do that marketing teams must design plans that meet the needs of diehard alumni and diehard college football fans who need a football fix.

Number one reason why UNT is not noticeable is because Denton does not promote the school! Media follows town officials. Take the Fort Worth Mayor when he introduced TCU day which made news as far away as Austin if not further. Scrapy should go visit the Mayor, or chief of police. Granted winning games builds fan base, but most of the vans watch TV and not the DRC.

Did we win that game against Arkansas back then? I remember the recent one in 2006, not good.

Losing one game in the season will cost a school a recruit or talent. To say that big name teams are slipping is simply not true. It just means another team out performed them durning the year. But for the out performing team to never slip as the article does not suggest is simply impossible. Having said that its great to see that maybe soon an SEC team will not be playing for the Natl. Champ. Lets switch it up a bit.

A part of me wants to believe Dodge wanted the high schoolers out of here. At this point any change is good. I think Dodge is realizing the NCAA is big business.

Remove Williams, and lets look back to the last 3(well really 4) seasons, and someone explain why everyone who 'transfers' from anywhere leaves.

Question one: How much control does Dodge have over the players? Are we recruiting talent that lacks commitment? Or do we give players false hope? But it seems like the players leave before they have time to develop. Question two: Is recruiting JCOS panning out? If playing for a 1aa(meaning they leave) is better than UNT, then we have problems off the field that will prevent wins on the field.

Hey lets not forget Outlaw. If it was not for a few dropped passes in the endzone, some loses could have been wins. I think the players have earned the right to be on the field. But it is hard to become great when you are only allowed to run 5 yards then head for the sideline. I think the player development starts with better play calling.

Thats not insanity that is legit. Of course hopefully we will be making plays that prevent us from always having 3 and 1s

Good find very interesting. But also disappointing. Four teams who took in less revenue than UNT went to College Football Bowls. Granted the article is outdated, I would like to see what last years totals calculate. ( If you throw in other sports than my reasoning is unfounded.)

Should TCU move to the Big 12, and A C-USA school goes MWC. North Texas should have a good shot at C-USA. After all the Conf. Commissioner moved the offices to Irving. Why not have another USA team right up the street.

Does anyone know why it takes to so long for the AD to release UNT full Schedule? I noticed Troy got a head start, can we expect our game list shortly?

If Dodge continues to allow the OB's to throw quick-outs and screen passes, not much of a battle will brew for WR positions. We need a WR who can block not catch( well ok both), hopefully this will unfold in the Spring.

I think if they run out all the competition its a specific term lasting forever.
