  1. ESPN 2 at 11am has a Big 10 team on every Saturday. ABC might even pick them up. The only fans who get hurt in this move, will be those who only turned on FOXSOUTHWEST
  2. In addition to all the Nebraska fans in the DFW area, and the Aggies looking to seek out the SEC. The middle part of the country will now experience every college football conference. Genus
  3. Much like the Big 12 was a power. Whose to say the WAC will not reload. Teams will have to land somewhere. The MWC will fill the Big 12 spot. But if the MWC takes the Big 12 left overs, then there is not a chance in the world, short of creating a new conf that any team in the BELT or WAC moves out in the (right now) era.
  4. Where else is there to go? Granted the WAC is not the best choice, but WAC teams would get CUSA looks before the Belt the teams. And if with all of the Belt teams looking to move out, who would enter, should another school need a home?
  5. But you have to admit being in the WAC is alot bettr than playing FAU/FIU. The money we save not traveling to their stadiums should help even out the cost of hopefully getting dumped by the SBC.
  6. NOT to mention the move allows for better TV markets. You cannot watch the game on TV very well when your butt is at the game or tailgating.
  7. So is Baylor a lost soul now? Or are they going to "tell it on the MountainWest Top, Over the Hills and everywhere?"
  8. But not for long
  9. I feel an All Texas Conf, brewing....... Anyone else?
  10. Where are they going to build this? Will U of H become a Dallas Cowboys in Arlington?
  11. So now if players don't make it in a super conf, I guess its best to give up then. I agree with your statement and I am sad that each year we will have an idea who will be playing in the National Champ before the season even starts.
  12. But only the Big 10 and Pack-10 will matter right? What ever happened to that one powerhouse that is content with 12 teams in the SEC.
  13. At the end of the day though is the WAC or CUSA still the WAC or CUSA as we know it now to be. With the changes in places, the WAC could be the New Sunbelt, The CUSA the NEW..... No matter how it plays out, three Super Conferences will have a team in the National Championship every year. And the Little guys will be stuck eating Papa Johns in Papa Johns stadium.
  14. 7 If you Play Thompson instead of Tune.
  15. Well BCS, Congress, the Monday Morning QB, who cares. The point is to guarantee your team money it would be wise to have BIG 12* next to your school than MWC.
  16. Going to the MWC would only be beneficial if the NCAA grantee them a bowl birth.
  17. Could not have picked a better time. Thank you ACC.
  18. Why would a former Big 12 drop to MWC. TCU and BYU/UTAH would jump ship before Iowa State landed in the Mountains.
  19. Unless Boise sees Greener pastures and said if the MWC were to ask us today we would say no.
  20. Would you rather see Dr. Pepper on a billboard or on a Stadium? Regardless of cost, big companies know how much money to spend on good marketing. This does not mean Dr. Pepper would benefit from UNT sports, but more from a driver passing by.
  21. As long as it is not Tulsa. I am open for anything. If it is Tulsa then I the score better not be UNT2 Tulsa2 like last time.
  22. No one in there right mind would pass up an opportunity to have their name on a stadium that is right off a major highway. Sadly we will have a "Brand name" at the top of the entrance, but I doubt the company would really have intentions of supporting the growth of UNT Athletics. However once the check is cashed who really cares.
  23. And by all accounts we were about 5 points away each game from 6 wins. We just need to close the deal.
  24. Getting these commitments and they not having a chance to see the new stadium is a very positive step for program next season.
  25. I hate to check Sunbelt. But I am more likely to be wrong this way, after all I always lose on the polls that ask if UNT will win this weekend.
