Wife and I just had a chance to watch this. It was a very good movie that did an amazing job giving us insight on the inner workings of NWA. If you grew up in the 80's & early 90's, it will bring back a ton of memories. And yes, I did shed a tear seeing Eazy-E on his deathbed.

My own 2 eyes. I have a "few" years of experience in the trenches all the way through college, so I might trust them a little. However, I'll be the first to admit that I'm no expert, I'm not better than any coach on any coaching staff, but like any armchair analyst, I trust what I see through my own two eyeballs. I won't base anything on a highlight reel, but I do know what I've seen here last year was NOT FBS level QB play. Not even the slightest. You say he was CLEARLY better? The one eyed man is king in the land of the blind, my friend.

SMU being ranked ahead of us is straight up BS. They are without question a bottom 10 team. However, I wouldn't be so confident in saying NT isn't either.....

All I'm going to say is that every program's players will and should improve year to year. Are we expecting players in other programs to stay stagnant as they go through their offseason, thus advantage NT come Saturdays? Our team is the only team that "improves"? From what we've seen at QB here, the rate of improvement would have to be astronomical. After 5 years of average/below average play at this position, we expect something totally outside the norm in 2015 from last year's group? The only way anything like this will happen is if an unknown like Demarcus Smith comes in and does it. It's a harsh reality, but it's the cold, hard truth. Anyone remember the Hawkins clan in Colorado? Yeah little Hawkins "improved" every year and knew the playbook like the wrinkles on his nutsack, but Dan could never turn his son into a legitimate FBS QB.

Young & Johnson certainly look good. The C, Kirby, struggles in pass blocking. Hopefully, he'll get some help inside....

This I agree with 100%. You recruited the guy to compete. Stick him up there and let it go. We all know what sits behind MiniMac. HSO, but Means & Chumley will never go into a season here at NT as the bonafide #1. With Mac, maybe it's semantics? Maybe it's a formality thing? Who knows???

LOL@ the confusion of saying Chumley is #10. It's pretty obvious who DeMarcus Smith is. He's got the best throwing motion and zip of the bunch.

I don't think Mac has any other plans at QB. He's going to drop generic quotes here & there to appease the fans regarding Smith, but we all know it's a stone cold lead pipe lock that MiniMac will be the #1 when the season starts. We wont see Smith until NT is out of Bowl contention......

I dealt with Eddie on several occasions and never had any issues with him. What happened? He didn't work for the Athletics Department?
