Good post and great advice to follow. The season is still young & mathematically, this team still has a lot to play for. My problem is that I have zero patience left in me. The rest of the schedule is brutal, no bye week remaining, & 1 less home game. If this team loses to Portland St., I don't think anyone will be able to stay level headed.

McNulty is 2-7 as a starter. On a 4 game losing streak dating back to last year. He's only completing 47% of his passes and has 2 TDs to 4 picks in 2015. How the hell does that not warrant a benching???????? I'll tell you why, because Mac is an old stubborn fart. Pass that stat line around to every other FBS coach in America and I'll guaran-damn-tee you they'll be saying another QB will be starting next week if that's my squad.

According to those "in the know" Means is so far down the list, he'll be lucky to ever sniff mop up duty during his career. Yep, the staff gave another non-FBS level QB a scholly. But hey he's 6'3", who cares that he can't hit the broadside of a barn........

RV wasn't seen as the problem back during the DD & Johnny Jones days. He was seen as part of the solution. Most people here could fall back on good basketball during the dismal days of the DD & Teflon Todd eras. The best facilities NT has ever had, the men's & women's basketball coaching disasters, and the decade of losing football are all showing this thing is much, much bigger than simple coaching change. The most dedicated Mean Green fans have seen this. Something has to give and really soon....

Better facilities combined with the cold hard truth that Mac only won with Teflon Todd's recruits makes it worse than the end of the DD days, IMO. Teflon Todd's era is still the most embarrassing. Did RV hire DD? I don't think he did but I'm not sure.....

I understand where he's coming from and know the team will stick together regardless. The us against them mentality will be the theme for the rest of this tumultuous season. With that said, if Mr.Rentfro decides to be an active alumn and invest in UNT athletics when he's out in the world, he'll understand where the questions for accountability come from. We have and always will be here. We're the only group that cares about an athletic program that's been a perennial under performer.

The scene where Bill Murray has Phil the Groundhog in his lap, behind the steering wheel as he drives off a cliff sums up all of us on this board and this season.

Mac better give the fanbase hope and look for that quick shot in the arm. The only way he can do that is give players that don't normally play a chance to play. His current personnel selection is taking him straight to an 0-5 start. Something has to change Coach Mac. Whatcha gonna do before the fanbase goes down quicker than this season does?

Demarcus Smith has really good stats where he competed at the collegiate level just last year. Huge difference with him compared to what we've seen. Other than that, you're spot on. I suspect when McCarney is staring "down the double barrel shotgun" of 0-5 we might see some changes. Maybe...
