  1. An all green outfit might suit him well. :)
  2. And then we can get Strong?
  3. Franchione was my pick and I still think he would've done some good things up here.
  4. I'm sticking to these 2 names: Turner Gill & Mario Cristobal. They've done it before. They've each turned bad programs around. Will it happen? Probably a snow balls chance in hell. Texas high school ties mean didley squat, IMO. Local high school kids don't want to come to UNT, it's the cold hard truth. We need someone that can recruit nationally as well as they can in Texas.
  5. I'll do it for half the price........
  6. I will be rolling in after halftime. My son has football practice that night. Hopefully, it's not 50-0 at half so I wont be tempted to turn around......
  7. The team will play better under Chico, but the lackluster recruiting under Mac is coming to a head now. Coaching isn't the only reason they're 0-5 and got blasted by a FCS school. The talent level here is bottom of the CUSA barrel. With Mac this team was going 0-12. Under Canales, I think they get 2 wins.
  8. Wow, ULaLa paying a cool mill per year to their coach while Monroe only pays a third of that. When did Bob Davie get back into coaching??
  9. Don't care what gender the AD is. Hell, a female AD may have more fire to get the job done right just to prove to the comfortable male fatcats that run college athletics she belongs. I'm all for it.
  10. And some signature wins to ignite the fanbase....
  11. I like Canales, but he's coaching for a job outside UNT at this point. He would have to go 6-1 to even get consideration, IMO. 6-1 with the remaining schedule would be absolutely amazing. There needs to be a total purge here, lots of good people are going to be out of s job, but it needs to happen...
  12. As long as he doesn't have any relatives playing high school football....
  13. Yes , yes , yes. A guy who's been there before and had some success in a difficult situation. Mario Cristobal and Turner Gill both fit that bill. Both are doing well in their current situations, too.
  14. Dan Hawkins? If you thought Mac favored McNulty, Hawkins takes nepotism to a whole new level. Him & his talentless son drove the CU football program into a deeper abyss than what it was already in. Cristobal is intriguing. Turner Gill, anyone?
  15. I would take Strong. But I think he'd end up as a coordinator at a P5 program making more money.....
  16. what????
  17. RV could have walked in the locker room with a clown suit and gong and it wasn't as embarrassing as what we saw on the field Saturday. 66-7 is pathetic....
  18. He got a helluva Birthday present last night, didn't he! Happy Birthday!
  19. What about giving Cristobal another shot? He's doing good things at 'Bama Jelly right now.
  20. Why not a guy who's relatively young, been a HC in the FBS before, turned around an abysmal program that's hard to recruit to, and is still successful at a FCS school?
  21. This coaching staff is coaching for their own futures, Post-UNT. No one wants an 0-12 record on their resume. I fully expect this team to come out prepared every week. Cosh should be relieved of DC duties if he isn't canned Monday.....
  22. Can Chico pull Cosh's DC duties form him? If so, it needs to happen........
  23. Please god, I hope you're 100% accurate. Change is badly needed. Can't wait it out with the whirlwind that is college athletics.
  24. Didn't he beat up his wife and punch a player? My previous comment was meant to be sarcastic by the way.....
