Don't discount Carolina, the Panthers D was a top 5 unit as well. No doubt Broncos D came to play and rattled Cam early. Cam's 2 fumbles cost them 15 points. Denver would've won with Osweiler in there with the way their D attacked Newton and the offense.

I stated this in another thread but this recruiting class was never going to blow anyone away considering the state of the program at McCarney's departure and Litrell's short time to scramble together a group on signing day. His #1 priority for 2016 is to take the current roster and make them better. More wins will translate to more interest from recruits heading into 2017. 2016 is critical for the program's success going into the 2017 offseason and beyond. The recruits will come when there's reason to come. Can Seth bring excitement to Denton?

Yeah, I was just reading academics may have played a big part in his decommit from Nebraska. I never thought Nebraska was an academically "prestigious" school, superior to NT. Am I wrong?

Agreed. I have zero doubt that you can put together a good FBS team with talent within 200 miles of DFW. However, the biggest question is how many of those kids within 200 miles want to come to Denton? Not a whole helluva lot.
