Morris has been a mixed bag tonight. I see why Fine was moved up to the starting position. There isn't huge separation between the two. Might as well go with the young guy and allow him to pickup valuable experience.

Agreed 100%. However, you know how most NT fans are around here with players. It's equivalent to insisting on marrying the 1st girl that kisses you....

More QBs the better. I think Fine has the inside track, obviously, but competition is surely welcomed & needed.

You know exactly what I'm talking about. Wilson has a body of work, Fine has nothing close to it. Wow, have any of you guys watched any of the games this year? The QB position has been a major letdown this season. You guys want to yap about sack totals and put all the blame on the OL but when you drop back 70 times a game you're going to get sacked.

He's got potential no doubt and has shown toughness. He'll get better with experience. Physically he's obviously undersized and has an average arm. None of that is really a deal breaker, IMO, just facts of his ability. People want to point at the sack total but when you drop back 70 times a game you're going to get sacked. I saw Morris on more than one occasion stay in the pocket and get blasted but deliver a decent throw. Obviously, him and Fine are close talent wise but why have we not seen Morris hit the field? That's my question...

I don't care he's a "true freshman" at this point being 2/3 of the way into the season. Offensive line hasn struggled all year, yes. But can you replace the entire offensive line? Nope. We're talking strictly performance here. Fine should've benched based on his performance.

Agreed 100%. Not sure how bad Morris is in practice, but Fine would've been benched on most average CUSA offenses.

I have to disagree here. Most of Fine's performances are on par with Alec's one SMU start. Morris was never given much of a chance to produce in game.

Fine may develop into an amazing QB but I've been questioning why Morris hasn't hit the field for any considerable playing time considering how Fine has performed the last few weeks. He's a 5th year senior QB for Christ sakes, I refuse to believe he's that bad. But at NT, you never know. I'm also in the camp that's questioning Harrell & his play calling. However, I know this team has bigger issues than just one position. Recruiting and solid coaching will correct it. Army isn't that good either. They might win one more game....

The "New coaching staff & vision" theme have a limited window to be pitched to recruits. The staff has to produce W's if recruiting is to improve. Problem is losing negatively impacts the program. So how the hell do they bring in talent to end the vicious cycle? That's all we have, baby steps. Cross your fingers and hope they strike gold in one recruiting class..

If SL can lead this team to a couple of winning seasons, I know we'll see NT in the middle of the pack of CUSA recruiting. The stinch of losing is still strong with this program and definitely doesn't help perception amongst high school players.....
