Hmmmm, well I'm just going by what I remember. I played OL in high school & college and I don't ever remember referencing blitzing LBers as stunting. Of course, that was a very long time ago and things can certainly change. You're right there are technically no "run blitzes".

Blitz is a stunt??? Unless I'm not getting what you're saying, I've never, ever heard them used interchangeably. Stunts are when the DL swap gaps crossing each other at the point of attack. There are designed run blitzes where LBs shoot gaps opposite of the DL controlled gap. And yes, you can run a stunt and blitz at the same time...

This team has been smoked by the top half of CUSA. Before anointing SL the savior, let's see what happens 2 years from now. He's certainly got this program back on track. They key is he keeps the cart planted on the rails and not blown off into an abyss like Mac & Co.

If you guys aren't worrying, you should. Dan Hawkins is a helluva coach. His crazy infatuation with making his talentless son a FBS quarterback killed his career at Colorado. McCarney & McNulty had nothing on this guy at CU. In any case, with no more kids playing ball, I'm thinking he'll be back in form and FIU will be very dangerous in a few years.

No, the players wore long sleeved pro combat gear underneath their jerseys. This is what the whiners want our guys to look like: The whiners are also the reason why we heard nothing but 70/80's classic rock before and during every single game for years. At least now we hear up to date and new stuff kids and students want to hear.

I think the whiners want to go back to long sleeve jerseys and leather helmets. How about we change announcers to 1920 sports guy, too? Get out from under teh rock and into today's time. Kids love these new styles. I loved the look........
