I don’t remember drug testing being an issue?? I thought it had to do with certain players feeling they were mistreated and were singled out, then kicked off the team? Several players quit as well.

I predicted a losing season, so I’m pleasantly surprised at the outcome. Many issues to address and better recruiting is needed. We’ll see if SL can keep the train moving in the right direction....

Players will stick up for their coaches, it’s expected. These guys are in the trenches together, it’s fully expected. There would be a major concern if his players did NOT react this way. However, it doesn’t change the fact the D performed poorly in most games. They struggled down the stretch....

I am the “proud” creator of that nickname. I was 100% against the hire and for the first few years, his idiotic mistakes and decisions continued to come down without any consequence. Nothing could stick to Denton’s Teflon Don. So I called him Teflon Todd. Not only did he drive the program into an abyss he also put NT in the national spotlight with the NAACP debacle. Good bye and good riddance. 😡

No extension. Play it out. If next year is an unmitigated success (1 loss, bowl win, top 25 ranking) then I would consider it.

I bet the Independance Bowl is glad they didn’t take NT. Southern Miss fans will fill their stadium.

They improved as the year went on. I felt the playcalling didn’t help them many times, either. Definitely, lots of room for improvement there.
