    I tell you what, most of the youngsters I’m around at youth sporting events have no flipping clue what the SWC is or was. Mention Big12 or SEC and their eyes light up. The southwest conference died over 20 years ago. It means very little to any relevant current or upcoming athletes. Not trying to poke you in the eye, just giving you my opinion.

    We’re talking money sports. Baseball doesn’t come close to moving the meter like basketball and football.

    I’m just going off name recognition. SDSU is known for other sports besides football. Late night west coast games could be plus for TV viewers in Texas. What other Texas schools would be playing on Thursday night at 9pm? I love watching those late night football games midweek.

    DFW doesn’t give a rats ass about SMU or UNT. More people in DFW care about the Cowboys, UT & OU than anything else. If anything, the AAC wants to get rid of SMU and replace them with another MWC team or Marshall. SMU won’t let NT into the AAC. I think the only opportunity NT will have here is a jump to the MWC when AFA takes uconn’s Spot....

    I tell you what, these guys have all day to throw. Rarely do these QBs have to rush and feel pressure. Mason would destroy it either one of these defenses with this type of talent around him...
