With El Presidente and an improved defense, I expect the game to be a lot closer than last year. However, Tulsa won CUSA last year and returns most of their players (except for their All-World TE). If, and that's a big IF, the running game can get off the ground early NT has a damn good shot at winning. I'm just not quite sure how Tulsa's D will react to WW after preparing for him all week. This will be a true test for NT & El presidente. I'm confident our D will be lights out again. The season's still young and SMU just flat out stinks. My prediciton: Tulsa - 27 NT - 20

Well, the article said DD will play another QB depending on game situation. To me that means 3 things: 1. Tulsa is blowing NT out. Garbage duty for the other QB. 2. NT is blowing Tulsa out. Garbage duty for the new QB. 3. Woody gets hurt. Yeah, I'm giving DD the benefit of the doubt here. Anyone check the temperature in Hell lately?

Please, let us know on which plays were called and should've been checked down at the line of scrimmage. Also, which positions are we looking for when checking down? Inside eye, 2 technique tackles, 5 technique ends, line shifts, spacing between the D-line, etc. Were blocking techniques supposed to change? Backside cutoff blocks changed to down blocks, base blocks to combo blocks, etc???

SMU ran 8 in the box, blitzed, and mostly straight man coverage in the first half. Once the D loosened up a bit, Jamario was able to get going. Jmo only had like 9yds on 7 attempts in the first half. The 2nd half he went something like 18/81. He was able to get more carries when drives were being sustained, in turn, helping him to get his game going. The 3 'N Outs in the 1st qtr and some of the 2nd qtr didn't help his cause. We all no what loosened the D up in the last half of the 2nd qtr and the entire 2nd half, now don't we?

SBG is right. After two full weeks into the season, a QB must have a certain number of attemps to qualify for a national ranking.

Tulsa and Akron will be really tough to beat. DD will have done a great job if NT can win one of those 2 games.
