  1. You may be right about this. I fear the guys I listed above may be little out of our price range.
  2. Rob Spence - Clemson Tigers Offensive Coordinator - 2nd ranked offense in the ACC last season. Currently, offense is ranked 11th overall in the NCAA and 2nd in scoring at 43.4ppg. Calvin Magee - West Virginia Mountaineers Offensive Coordinator Been OC since 2004. No secrect as to how explosive WVU's offense is. They are ranked 8th in the NCAA in offensive yards per game. Paul Petrino - Louisville Cardinals Offensive Coordinator. Cardinals OC since '03. Currently ranked 1st in PPG and 2nd in total offensive yards per game. Yes, I'm biased towards an offensive minded coach!!
  3. I don't know about Coker. He basically has unlimited resources available and his team's play has declined season after season. I do like his attitude and his committment to building a disciplined program. I think Slocum's been out too long and doesn't have the recruiting power some here think he still has. I'd love to see the fiery Glanville walking the sidelines in Denton. Emotion on the sideline from our coach would be a sight to see.
  4. Nothing sexier than a woman with Power. Hell yeah I would!!! And no, the wifey does NOT read these forums. Thank God she hates football!
  5. It looks like the John Danver avatar is laughing at the new president.
  6. I keep hearing DD is a very proud man, would he resign if NT lost homecoming? Does RV have the cajones to boot DD?
  7. My bad, you were absolutely correct. It was Joel Foster who was bull rushed into the back of the QB.
  8. I knew your favorite place is to be in the butt of jokes.
  9. Ramon runs the style of offense Dickey wants him to run. Dickey is to blame and should get 100% of the blame.
  10. UNT78 is really RickV in disguise. Pretty smart, Rick, posting like a 3rd party in the know. So who have you spoken to about becoming the new head coach of NT? Inquiring minds want to know!
  11. I think Dylan is the only one playing worth a damn. I felt sick to my stomach on the 1st series of the 2nd half where Woody was sacked twice. The last sack on 3rd down when Alexander was bull rushed and driven back into the QB sums up the OLine play perfectly this year.
  12. If NT announced they wanted to move this football program into the realm of top division 1A and announced a big name coach was waiting in the wings to take NT there, I'm sure donors would be open to a buyout.
  13. He applied for the New Mexico State job. We're "Hawaii" when compared to the desert New Mexico is.
  14. What really saddened me was Jamario's lack of confidence while running. He just looks frustrated out there and isn't hitting the line of scrimmage like he's capable of. The poor O-line play is without a doubt the reason for this. You could see MTSU's Gross punishing tacklers and hitting the line of Scrimmage with authority. We're wasting a helluva talent here, folks. I feel so bad for Jamario.
  15. The NewMex Aggies lost a very close game to UTEP. Two years ago they would've gotten plastered. It's amazing what a new coach can do for a program.
  16. Christ, I hope what you're saying isn't true. This is very disappointing if he indeed had this attitude.
  17. I agree with you here 100%. It's painfully obvious that he's trying too hard to make a play. I wonder why our QB would feel this way?
  18. This is who I want to head NT: Rob Spence is in his second year as Clemson's offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. He was the architect of one of the most improved offenses in Clemson history in his first season. The 2005 Tigers improved 89 yards per game in total offense over 2004, the fourth-biggest jump in Tiger history and the eighth-best improvement among Division I teams. His balanced approach brought Clemson to a #2 overall mark in total offense in the ACC in 2005. The Tigers were the only school in the conference to rank in the top four in both rushing offense and passing offense. That was achieved in an ACC that had 10 defensive players taken in the first round of the NFL draft, an all-time record for any conference.
  19. What???????????? Singletary & Fry????? Call them up!!
  20. I abolutely agree with you. I refuse to believe another Sun Belt Conference team has that much more talent to blow NT out at home. That's an easy, pitiful excuse. This team has talent.
  21. I agree with you Big Dawg. DD has done a lot for this program, but it's apparent we need something different to take this team to the next level. I stated in another thread that we should have a great pool to choose from considering the fact we are in a great recruiting area along with BEING A DIVISION 1 UNIVERSITY IN TEXAS WHO WANTS TO WIN AT FOOTBALL. If Dennis Erickson can coach at Idaho & Mike Price can coach at UTEP, I'll be damned if we can't get a coach with a comparable resume.
  22. I say NT go after an OC or DC from a big time university. How about the OC for Clemson. Clemson looks outstanding so far this year. Seriously, we are in the heart of talent filled High School football. What coach would turn down a chance at coaching at a Division 1 university in Texas?? We offer a helluva lot more than people give us credit for.
  23. Coaching is the failure here. Good coaching can overcome talent.........with respect to talent level of the opponent. We are talking MTSU here, not Texas, Ohio St, etc. I refuse to believe the talent gap has that much disparity.
  24. whoops, you're right. My bad, I pulled a Dickey there.
