I agree with you. One thing I've always heard when speaking of athletics, teams that always seem to lose close games are teams that are badly coached.

Switching uniforms before game time caused the "ruckus". Most fans at other universities would'ev reacted the same way, especially with a coach as controversial as DD. Do you know the problems OSU went through this year when they altered their traditional red unifroms? You're going to flip off Buckeye fans for their stupidity? I love the all black look when done right. Uniforms aren't that big of a deal, IMO, but you need to take your own advice and look at the big picture on what the switch really meant for DD.

I'll explain this again, and the article posted in another thread touches on this, too.... Hawaii is a pure passing offense. For those of you who don't watch College Football outside of your "one track" Big 12 south radius, you'll know what I'm talking about. This team is on the extreme end of the spectrum when it comes to passing O. Moreso than Tech, IMO. Unlike "traditional" programs, this offense does not focus on ball control and clock management. Their philosophy is score and score quick so you'll have time to score again. The ending result is increased time of possession for opposing offenses. The stats are a bit misleading. Hawaii's defense is better than what the national rank shows.

The problem with Tech winning the Big 12 has NEVER been about their offensive capabilities. Leach has never been able to draw enough talent to Luboock for the Defensive side of the ball. That's what separates Tech from OU & UT.

The Spread Option implements a running attack and is what Oklahoma utilizes. They won the National Championship and have gone to two more National Title games with it. Hardly gimmicky, IMO. Boise St. runs the spread option as well. Texas Tech & Hawaii run a pure Spread(Run N' Shoot) offense. You need a fast QB(which NT has), a fast RB with hands, & a deep WR corp. I don't know how well Jmo can catch and really can't assess our WR corp based on the pathetic offense we've run for almost a decade. I can assure you, recruiting WR's wouldn't be too hard if a passing O was implemented.
