Talent at LBer? I would say the LB crew has depth but is not as talented as you think they are. Other than Holman & Monroe, the rest of the group is average at best and lacks speed, IMO. Dawson showed flashes at times and could be a good player. I think the the move to the 4-3 makes a lot of sense. You have to have a big, dominating nosegaurd with the ability to control 2 gaps in a 3-4. Of course, a player with this ability is hard to find and North Texas does not have anything close to it. 4-3 tackles aren't a dime a dozen, but it is "easier" to find them.

Uh, Nope. The University of North Texas is the Mean Green. Eagles went by the wayside much like Orange Men & Indians.

We are the Mean Green and our mascot is the Eagle. Similar to the Alabama Crimson Tide with a mascot of an elephant. Personally, I love the swooping eagle but would prefer "North Texas" or some form of "NT" on the helmet. Th swooping Eagle i too confusing, IMO. The Tide do not have an elephant on any of their athletic unifroms. We should do the same.

Why do we always want someone elses identity? Do we want to be Southlake Carrol that bad or is it Virginia Tech????? We are the University of North Texas, and for those of you who've forgotten, we have established our Official Logo, Wordmarks, Spirit Marks, etc. Those are the only logo's that should even be considered if the University decides to change. Also, with a nickname like the Mean Green, it would be best if our helmets STAY GREEN.

Hell Yeah!! That is a killer look. What about a black mask & White "NT" with black trim? BUT, I can't help but think those who are not in the know would ask "What does TN stand for?" How about a side helmet with the USPS Mean Green eagle head or the Son of Worm. Try both in white with black trim.

Troy always seems to play up when they are expected to get trounced. I think it will be a close one. My money will be going on them, barring any freak injuries before game time.

Just go back to "North Texas" on the front of the jerseys. That should be sufficient in letting viewers know who we are. Kelly Green helmets with the new Eagle Head or Son of Worm, with black masks would be the best look to change to.

I love the look of the revolution helmet. Just give it a black mask and you'v got a winner, IMO.

Good Job. That's what I was talking about. Our eagle head should touch at the back of the helmet like the Seahawk's helmet does. Now, the green your using needs a little more green and a little less puke.

I agree 100%. Something along the lines of the Seattle Seahwaks helmet. Our USPS eagle would look sweet in black, with a white outline, on a kelly green helmet.

And might I add that players like Ricky Williams and Taurean Henderson thrived in Tech's system, even though they didn't get a "handoff" 20+ times a game. These guys were key cogs in tech's offensive machine. They received "traditional" handoffs ~5 times a game, but were thrown screens 10+ times a game.

It wouldn't matter to me if they changed the helmet. However, I do think it's very important the uniforms be aligned with the school colors. Kelly green is a must, IMO.
