  1. Wow, this looks like a great pickup. I hope the reporting is accurate.
  2. Glad to see Woody come back. I hope Dodge can use his raw physical ability.
  3. I trump your 2 devils with 3. & a Ninja from the depths of hell!!!
  4. And Pegram had a career in the NFL. Something Applewhite and 90% of college athletes can only dream about. He played at the ultimate level and was around coaches of the "highest" quality. Not trying to be an ass, just playing Devil's advocate here.
  5. Yeah, just like the Mean Green Golden Boy Major Applewhite, right?
  6. And what?????? And what?????
  7. Guys, this is great news. Here's something to think about: I play a North Texas dynasty(Heisman level) on NCAA '07. I just started it all over again after going 7 years into it. North Texas was too powerful, causing teh game to be a little boring. Anyway, when I recruit players I always check out rivals, match my recruit's ratings with actual high school prospects, and enter them into the system. In the 3rd year of my Dynasty, I entered a recruit into my system by the name of Dez Bryant. He dominated defenses, was 2nd in Heisman voting his Sr. year (the damn game loves RB's), & he won receiver of the year his JR & SR year. Anyone believe in fate?
  8. Just heard Ryan Perriloux is going down for a federal crime by participating in a counterfeiting ring. Anyone heard this news??? WOW!!
  9. The Big 10 has had a poor Bowl showing this year. Overrated? Maybe. I've got Florida in the upset.
  10. These are definitely good points, but I think this person is underestimating college football fans. Attendance, IMO, would go through the roof if a playoff system was implemented. If your school received a playoff bid, said university has a LEGITIMATE shot at the National Championship. A first round game for Directional U means so much more than the 2000 Flushes Toilet Bowl. Regional seeding would also help. It's naive to think talent is equal across the board among conferences, 'cause it isn't. But, giving the Boise St.'s of the world a legitimate a shot would benefit college football in unimaginable ways. A playoff system using conference champions for the "Big" guys, National Rankings for wildcard teams, and 1 gauranteed spot for the mid majors is the only way to go. This gauranteed spot can be determined through a mini playoff in which the small schools can face off in a sort of "play in" game, similar to what occurs in NCAA Basketball.
  11. How could you forget me Harry!!!??? I have no access!!!
  12. I'm a little amazed at how NT only has 2 players represented on that list. I know as fans, we seriously overrate our guys. We're 2-9 for a reason guys. As the great Dennis Green would say, " They are who we thought they were!!!"
  13. I don't know so many people wer thinking OU would stomp Boise. Boise has beaten 4 teams with Bowl wins this year. Not to mention a mud hole stompin' on Oregon St. who beat USC.
  14. As the saying goes: "We've already come this far, why stop now?"
  15. And where did you play? List your honors a$$wipe. How do your football abilities throughout school stack up to that mouth?
  16. Chalk up another person for "NO" to pride stickers. The Oversized winged helmet with Cincinnati Bengals influence is the only way to go. No pride stickers on that. We should switch back to 'NORTH TEXAS' on the front of our jerseys.
  17. Actually, I remember reading that El Presidente had 3 years of eligibility remaining when he came to NT. I don't remember the specifics but he will have 2 years remaining to pick up the Ol' Dodge's system.
  18. And that's the biggest concern I have. Yes, I do believe the guy is the worst QB on our roster, but you have to look at his injury history. It doesn't take a rockte scientist to see that his durability is a severe problem. I'm still grasping at the potential WW showed us early on in the season at QB. I think he has the most talent and potential. A coach like Dodge could work with that, IMO.
  19. You may not like it, but it's a part of what influences a young man's decision in choosing a school. Do a search like some of these "internet losers" you despise and you'll see a very informative article on the effects of uniform design and recruiting. It's obvious you're jealous of all the guys who actually got to play in high chool & college. You were the guy who rode the bench for 4 years but won scout team player of the week every week. Yeah, you sure are intense buddy, but you suck too much to get into an actual game. I felt sorry for guys like you, but at th same time, I laugh in your face.
  20. This is my favorite design. I can see this winged side connecting with the other side, very similar to the Cincinnati Bengals helmet. The helmet would then still be majority green, which is what I want.
  21. Senior Equipment Engineering Technician for a top military contractor. We develop & produce InfraRed technology for military use in targeting systems. I do repair & maintenance on the systems that physically produce our product.
  22. I think Gilmore is a perfect candidate for a rush end. He definitely has the size.
  23. Oh wise one, Uniforms have always been an important factor in the recruiting process. Of course, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, none the less, uniform design is important to these young men. And I played college football for your information.
