  1. When I say all black, I'm NOT thinking of the DD $1.99 practice jerseys. Look at the BB team's black uniforms with the nice green trim. Now that's a nice black uniform and that is what I'm talking about.
  2. Yes, but I find it funny the new guy, from SLC & UT, is changing the NT helmet to white. Cowinkydink???? I don't think so.
  3. Don't forget to mention the inevitable ice storm in hell which will shortly follow the landing in the Yucatan.
  4. Interesting read. I always thought Tech was a shoe in and Baylor was the lone sneak in.
  5. After the past 2 seasons, are we really shocked?? Jmo is the only player to garner any type of national recognition and we all know what happened there.
  6. I would much rather have all black uniforms than a white helmet. White helmets stink, IMO. We are not UT and, most importantly, we are NOT SLC.
  7. Haugebook continues where he left off in New Orleans. Troy sweeps the Belt this year.
  8. Not only a mind blower, but a wad blower as well.
  9. Don't forget thongs with David Hasselhoff on the front. Now that definitely screams class.
  10. I'm with you on that SE.
  11. Nah, I'd much rather be on a video that get's passed around the college football world & internet of us throwing SMU's goal post into their own student section.
  12. When NT wins this game at Ford, I say we all rush the field, rip out the goal post, and throw it into the student section much like Tech did aTm a couple of years ago.
  13. I agree with you in that it has to be the OL. Specifically, tackle. The problem you run into with all offensive lineman is agility and strength. 6'8" 380lbs looks good on paper, but guys that big have to be freakishly strong to have the ability to move at the D1 level. Pass blocking is so important at the next level and a lot of high school lineman are not asked to do it enough. It's easier to find an interior lineman(G, C) because of skill required in blocking DT's & NT's. However, good tackles are hot ticket items like elite RB's & QB's, IMO. They have to be able to block the best athlete on the defensive line in Defensive ends. They need soft, quick feet to stay in front of the guy and great upper body strength to impede a bull rush while moving back. That's what separates the BCS schools from mid majors, IMO. Many of the interior lineman at BCS schools can play tackle at most mid majors. There is no vice versa....
  14. I don't think it will happen anytime soon. The talent level in the Belt has increased across the board. The T.V. exposure from the NO Bowl & the upsets of big conference opponents will continue to keep the league very competiive, IMO.
  15. I still expect Wilson & Meager to head the "attack" going into the year. Depending on how bad the team is (reality says we are a 2-9 team with 2-9 DD talent filled roster), we may get to see G-Vizzy put in lots of work. And yes, I'm bored with sports in general at this point (No Football, Rangers sucking & the Spurs destined for crown #100) so I'm coming with supid nicknames like G-Vizzy.
  16. Definitely nothing wrong with having quality Qb's, but has anyone even thought of the fact this guy didn't have a snowball's chance in hell in beating out Justin Willis? Not a knock on Willis by any means, since he out performed any Qb on our roster last year. Still, he didn't put any fear into teams in CUSA....
  17. I voted for K-Dub
  18. An old teammate of mine, whom you guys my recognize, Byron Hanspard from DeSoto, Texas. He went on to rip up Div 1A at Texas Tech. Greatest High School Back I've ever seen.
  19. 10 year plan while switching majors 5 times.
  20. I love a player who's not afraid to throw his body around. Too many B-Ballers are too afraid of contact these days.
  21. Not even close, JJ without a doubt.
  22. He definitely hustles, but just lacks the quickness needed to be an effective post player, IMO. He "goes up" way too slow, especially with the ball in hand under the basket. Of course, a lack of confidence could be causing the hesitation. I still have hope for the young man.
